Lex dropped us off at the LRT station and we made our way to the Mall of Asia. After 2 LRT’s and a jeepny we finally arrived. The Mall of Asia used to be the 3rd largest mall in the world, and I think it may still be the largest mall in SE Asia. It has the normal movie theater, IMAX, bowling, skating rink etc. The mall has a large air conditioned center, then wings on each side that have shops outside. The Filipinos are as crazy as us, with their Christmas displays all set up already. We didn’t find the mall that impressive. After walking around we decided to head back to Gateway Mall which is closer to where we are staying. To kill some time we hit up the arcade. Tris played Deal or No Deal quite a few times and won at most 100 tickets. I played a couple and won the jackpot, 400 tickets! We picked out a few stuffy toys for Andie. We went and saw Paranormal Activity 3, I’m jumpy when it comes to scary movies. If it was just an eery story it wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s the big booms and fast
movement.
The bathroom lineups are different here. Instead of lining up at the door entrance single file, they line up at each stall.
Its really nice that everyone speaks english here. I read somewhere that the Philippines has the 2nd largest English speaking population in the world. A lot of them speak better English than we do, and use big words!
