On the road again

Hey all, just a quick one (and no pictures, sadly!) to say I'm unlikely to be online for the next day or so as we're on the move again, but not quite in the way we'd planned it! We'd wanted to head straight to Harbin from Hohhot, but there are no trains for the next three days (seriously, it's not fun hearing 'meiyou' time and time again...), so we'd planned to go across to Beijing and up to Harbin, but guess what?! Meiyou, for the next three days! I suspect that the train people are lying to us.

So instead we're booked on a bus for tonight to Beijing (which is shorter than the train, but more expensive...?!) and hoping to head directly to Harbin tomorrow if we can, preferably without having to kill a day in Beijing. We're still OK for time, so fingers crossed. Praying that the bus isn't too horrendous either!

Had an absolutely amazing day at the grasslands yesterday with plenty of gorgeous photos, so will try to get some of those up when I can.
