My India tours started with Delhi. I stayed in Delhi for two days. Enough time to see the Humayun’s Tomb in a glorious summer sunset, the Qutb Minar in a dusty midday, Jama Masjid, India Gate. I start my tours of India with visit the India Gate. The India Gate is a memorial to all of the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I.
The Red Fort in Delhi was one high on my list of things to see in India. So I went to visit the Red Fort. Red Fort is a World Heritage Site. It is the third Delhi monument which has been included in the heritage list after Qutab Minar and Humayun's Tomb. Red Fort or Lal Quila is the largest of the monument in the old Delhi which is situated on the western bank of the river Yamuna. It was the palace for Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's new capital called- Shahjahanabad. It is one of the most spectacular pieces of the Mughal architecture in Delhi.
Than I arrived Agra, the city of Taj. Agra the secound city of my India tours. My tour start with a visit of Taj Mahal that
is a world heritage site in Agra and also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj Mahal, the beautiful monument made by a mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1631 for his beloved wife Mumtaz mahal, for he couldnot bear her death. There was a reason why it is the 7th wonder of the world. It is more beautiful to watch in moonlight.
After the Taj, we went to visit the Agra Fort, which is very similar to the Red Fort in Delhi, but contains a number of very similar attribute as the Taj Mahal as Shah Jahan, the emperor who built the Taj as a tomb for his wife, spent a long time living in and locked up in the Agra Fort. So inside the fort, he constructed little palaces for his daughters in the same manner as the Taj.
My Jaipur visit is really very fantastic. Many things to see in Jaipur like Jantar-Mantar, Hawa mahal, Jal mahal, Amber fort etc. My first stop in Jaipur is the Amber Fort. Amber Fort is a massive fort-palace complex built in hybrid Hindu-Muslim style and was the royal palace of the Kachwahas. For a first-timer in my tours
of India, seeing an adorned fort or castle in this style is totally awesome. I am glad that i am seeing these wonderful sights. I went on a elephant safari in the wilderness around the Dera Amer camp. The scenery was beautiful. I really enjoy a visit at the Amber fort in my
India tours.
Then I went for visit to Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 AD. A five storeyed building, Hawa Mahal is made of red and pink sandstone and motif's are painted of quick lime. Had a mind boggling experience on India tours. Specially the front view of the palace is very magnificent. From the inside of the Palace I have a good view of Jaipur.
At the end I could say that I thoroughly enjoyed my
India tours.
