So Hoi An is pretty awesome!!!
We spent the first day so mesmorised by the hundreds and hundreds of tailors in Hoi An (that are more than willing to make you ANY item of clothing or shoes you can imagine), that we almost forgot how Hoi An is perfectly positioned right next to one of the prettiest beaches in Vietnam called 'China Beach'.
We've both had some clothes made yesturday at a tailors shop called Tay Do, which was recommended to us by two girls from Holland who raved about it...so we thought we'd check it out.
Rik got a black cashmere suit tailor made (which is georgous and makes him look SOOO hot). He also got a shirt that he designed personaly to match, whilst i got 2 dresses and a pair of shorts.
We get on very well with the women who run the shop, and they have invited us and 3 people from Hawaii who we met earlier in the week, out to a vietnamese restaurant to all have dinner tonight (sat).
Ther're arn't many hostel in vietnam, they either seem to be dorms or hotels. But the 2-3 star hotels in Vietnam cost the same amount per
night as the hostels do in Thailand.
The hotel we're staying in is the best! It has a really nice swimming pool and comes with free breakfast, and we managed to hagle the price down for our room which is awesome!!! We have all the mod cons including a 32" HD flat screen tv on the wall, a memory foam bed, a bath in the middle of our bedroom, a private shower room and a huge balcony, and its the cheapest hotel we have stayed in since we've arrived in Vietnam!!! We're definalty going to miss the vietnamese accomadation prices when we're back in Thailand!!!
We've also found a really cool DVD shop, which sells any DVD at an amazing 20p. So we've stocked up for those rainy days when we're back in England!!!

Ricky & Onie,
It looks like you are having a wonderful time - not really roughing it in the true backpacker style, with all your posh hotels & swimming pools, but if you can hagle the price down (and Ricky is the master), then why not.
I was working away last weekend in Cumbria & I hear you were out of touch whilst in Halong Bay, today we are off to the Midlands as it is Great Aunt Kath's 90th birthday & we are taking her out to lunch at the Bull in Shenstone.
My enduro is next Sunday, I hope it's alraight to borrow your 'Rip n Roll' goggles as I think it is going to be pretty muddy - we have had alot of rain this week & next week looks like more of the same (hope it's not cancelled!!).
Jonny has been home for 'reading week', we are taking him back to Uni on the way back down from the Midlands this afternoon.
Lucy is working lots of hours at the Bistro & saving hard for her TEFOL course in February.
Mom is OK but she really misses you alot, try & Skype next Saturday morning at 11:00am, she really like to see you, as do I.
Dogs & cat are all OK, hope to see you on Saturday.
Dad.
xxx
