We made our way to Sikkim in northeast India for a trek. It is an Indian state nestled between Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet; as an obvious result, there is a heavy Buddhist presence there. It may not be Nirvana, but Yuksom (the starting point of our trek) did provide a quiet look into Sikkimese life.
