Well after spending the day in Nha Trang relaxing by the beach etc, the fun began! Had tea at the restaurant part of the hostel with Marie, the English/Aussie girl. We had a voucher for a free cocktail and fruit salad when we had tea so that was good value! We saw the guys from my dorm, and another girl had arrived, so i wasnt the only one in the room! She was also English, called Lauren and pretty cool. We went to this bar called Guava, where there were 2 for 1 tiger beers during happy hour so we enjoyed a few of them. Had a good time chatting to the guys and we went abck to the bar/restaurant that we had tea at. After a couple of bucket cocktails there (about $3) we moved to another bar down the street. They had connect 4 going, and this other puzzle building game thing which combined with a few drinks (shooter for the loser) made it good fun! We walked to the final palce, the sailing club. Its well known for being good fun, not as cheap though (60000 dong for entry - which we stingey backpackers managed to get through
Sailing ClubOutside the Sailing Club. Cool place in Nha Trang
by pretending we had paid). Had a couple of drinks there and danced for a while! I vagually remember getting back but no idea what time it was. People ended up in each others bed - basically from passing out (there were 3 guys in one bed who had been smoking then just decided to keep sleeping there!
Marie and i had booked ourselves on a boat trip, had to get up at 8.. i still felt drunk! Everyone else was fast asleep. We got the bus to the dock, where there were all different types of boats going out for the day. So many people, i wasnt really in the mood for it! We boarded, and i felt fine until we got to the 1st island. There was an aquarium there but we had to pay and i've seen plenty of fish in my time. Went to a couple of other islands, where i got to go snorkelling and stuff, i spent alot of my time lying on the top of the boat in the shade! Marie was also feeling very unwell.. There was a huge lunch followed by live entertainment. If i was in the mood i would
have been more enthusiastic! After i had woken upand come down the stairs they made me sing Waltzing Matilda bcos i was the only Aussie on board. What a disastrous performance! They had a floating bar where everyone had a tube and floated around drinking fruity wine and vodka, I didnt have any!
Had fruit for afternoon tea which i also couldnt keep down. After a few times hanging over the boat and out the window on the bus back i started to feel a bit better! We had a shower and stuff at the hostel and went for a walk with Lauren. We sat at the bar outside the hostel until they took us in a jeep with no doors to the bus. We hit a girl on a motorbike on the way! Pretty scary but she was ok. Just heard a massive crack as we took her out. We made it to the bus in time, only just though! My ticket said 7:30 and maries said 7 so we were pretty lucky to get there! Arrived at 6:45 this morning, with a long stop where i grabbed some fried rice and slept most of the way which was
good. Until the stupid bus driver kept constantly beeping so so loud at everything that went within 10m of him!
Got to Hoi An safely and decided to share a room and stay at the place they dropped us off - we are lazy! going to see the sights this afternoon and its famous for tailor made clothing so depending on prices of course ill get something made! :D
