Well, Im currently sitting at 'the peak' highest point in Hong Kong. and Boy waht a veiw!. i have been gibbering on latley about what we have been doing, Fair enough, but part of the travel blog was to be about what it was like. Not all about us and our travels, so that you knew what it was like :P
Hong Kong is Sensible. truly, a amazing place, organised, health concious and effecient. For example, the transport system, most of the transport used is the Hong Kong Metro, and its really good, the Train and platform, are seperated by large, clean glass walls. and triggered sliding glass doors to let you get to the train, We really need these in london's undergrtound, it would not only, reduce suisides, make it appear nicer and get rid of the huge drafts of the trains, but also let the whole place be air conditioned.
The airport express is the same, ordered and sensible, and just as efficent as the Metro, its stations are abocve ground, but still behind glass for protection and comfort.
The people of Hong Kong are rather funny, a handfull of people wear face masks, and you will pass a couple down the street, iots common, is what im trying to say, but whats funny is the attatude towards the masks, if they are so health concious, the people we havce seen are a bit dim, for example. thier meant to keep bad airborne gasses and bacteria away. but one male, removed his facemask, to have a fag. >.> Clever.
THe Streets are like, deep cracks, if you could imagine. just, small thin gaps in a feild of skyscrapers and high rise buildings, it really is quite something. all the air con units drip subtly onto the back of your neck with ice like drops, and clothes hang from balconys everywhere you go, the alleys look dogey, and the streets look like 'the only option' but its not that bad, its actualy fun, Especialy at night.
The Clijmate here is tropical, its similar to the heatwave we left behind in britan, but more humid, and tropical, and alot warmer, Hot, not warm, its something like 32 degrees. but its the humidity that gets you. Luckily, and unluckily it hasn't rained yet.
Some fun fact i stuimbled on, the people of hong Kong, Leave the heads on Chickens when they cook them and sell them.
Although Stupidly Tall, only 3 Skyscrapers have lightnoing rods it seems.
I should probably explain where i am, and how i got there, we have just been to hong kong park on the metreo. and it is. BEAUTIFUL, it is a must see if you do come to hong kong. its like an outdoor eden project! the Tai chi garden is nice, and the 'Conservatory' is full of exotic plants, Cactus, Palms, Tropical Flowers, everything!, it also has a walk through avairy. stunning, the amout of colourful and exotic birds that are in tehre, just incredible!, but by god do you sweat in that heat, walking around, i think i have lost a few good pints. anyway. after the park, and some good photo's (I will upload them at a later date and update) we went to the peak 'tram' an old fassioned, almost antique service that gives you a horible sence of vertigo, its like a roller coaster 90 degree climb, sloooooow. but your level, and everythings slanted. but we have arived at the peak and sat down at a nice coffee bar (Not Starbucks >.<, But they have one!) and lookit!, it has internet!. and its free! (Again, this is cheap for me XD)
Here is a Pic update of the Park, and the Tram from above. Enjoy teh update x3 took ages to upload! :O.
So thats my story so far. i tried to get on MSN, but it doesn't recognise me. Ill try again :P see you for now.
