So here we are in Mui Ne!

After an easy and surprisingly quick bus ride from Dalat, we arrived Friday around noon. After a quick look around we also found a room which is not to pricy and still in a nice area- good enough for us to spend the next week or so whilst loitering on the beach… :)

So what does Mui Ne look like?
Well basically it’s a small village along a coastal road- what makes it so nice is the fact that the beach at Mui Ne is simply orsm!
And thanks to its microclimate one must say that the weather is just as orsm as the beach (maybe even more)!!!

So what do you do when you are close to paradise with a couple of days to spare?

A day in Mui Ne, the way we spend our first three days here, would basically look like this:

Get up early in the morning (sometime around 9) and have breakfast in one of the pavilions in the nicely done garden. After stuffing ourselves with some fruit and a pancake we slowly, in fact very slowly, make our way towards the beach!
As all Germans do, we put our towels down on the beach seats before everybody else does!!! (Too bad- I think we have 2 or 3 German couples here as well- that means we really have to hurry…:)

After enjoying the casual look around and taking a good look at the babes (if only a few would hang around…please god, can you not do something???) we take a walk on the white sand- looking at the blue sky, the bathtub warm pacific ocean and the following thought starts to develop: what could beat this? As far as we know- almost nothing!

After about 45 min of walking (that’s all the exercise we get in a day- even if we try- the max is a second beach run in the afternoon!) we get back to our seats (thank god we put our towels down early enough) and read, or sleep, or do nothing (one day I caught Boris whilst he was making the effort thinking about something- he quickly changed that- not to exhaust himself)!!!

Sometime during the day we move our pristine bodies into the ocean and go for a swim. After that its time for a beer and I get back to our accommodation to write mails or the Blog in advance. After each of us took a shower we make a move and try different restaurants every day- yesterday we found one with good n cheap food and a happy our from 5pm till 12pm. Rumour goes that we will be heading there today as well- since its right on the beach.

Now-

Please make sure you hold on to something or you sit properly on a chair- because today (after three complete days of almost no excessive movement…) we got up and took a trip around the sights of Mui Ne!!! Believe it or not!

We got ourselves a motorbike and drove to see the red sand dunes, the red canyon and the white sand dunes, as well as the all famous fairy spring.

Really worth mentioning as far as I am concerned are only the white sand dunes.
They are located about 20km northeast of Mui Ne in an area that looks like you also could be in the middle of the Kalahari. Real dry soil- but that also makes for the good smell and air we got. The dunes are huge, really white and directly adjacent to a big, blue lake- which only makes the setting more spectacular! Whilst we where exploring the dunes, one really felt like walking in the middle of the desert. It was really nice and really hot!

All in all a nice trip- bit different to what we did the days before but quite entertaining.

It nevertheless didn’t hold us from jumping into the sea after downing a beer.

Now it looks as we are going to get some food- well deserved after such a hard day…

Its time to move on- have a good one!
