Further away from home...

We are e-mailing from the country of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, formally known as Saigon! We flew in yesterday...!! after a quick stay on Ko Phangnan.

We found ourselves staying at Highlife Bungalows on Ko Phangnan, after our planned guest house was full. However it turned out to be amazing! For 5 pounds a night we had our own bungalow, complete with hammock on the balcony overlooking the beach and sea from the cliff top! We only stayed a few nights which was a shame, but we made the most of the pool overlooking the bay!

The full moon party lived up to its reputation by seeing tens of thousands of westerners getting absolutely hammered on buckets of cheap alcohol. It still made for a fun night. Yet again our scooter got us safely home despite it being pitch black, the roads being little more than vertical dirt tracks and our map only being accurate when it was first made (presumably a good few years ago) if then.

Briefly touched down in Bangkok before flying here.
Just had our first day in the city - been to see the reunification palace and war reminants museum. Adam is loving the war history.

Tomorrow we are going on a day tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and a temple - Adams already getting his freak on in anticipation of firing guns.....
