Hello there. So last time I did a blog we were about to get on a sleeper bus to Nha Trang, thankfully it wasn't as bad at the last one but I still hate them! Any was when we got there we did our usual search for a cheap place to stay. After a while we found this great place for $3 each AND its our best hotel yet! 2 double beds, satelite TV, power shower. we just arent use to this ha! plus I was getting a tad tired of sharing a bed with Jay to a save a dollar or two!
We were really looking forward to this place after reading about it, it seemed right up our street; beach, loads of bars, footy pitch on the beach, party boats, yes! It's amazing actually the bars here, there's soooo many and all with their own great happy hours and they all give you about 10 flyers a day to remind you of this. I think the second night we were here we went on a night out and met some people mostly from England doing a trip of Vietnam and had a really good and happily cheap time
that night.
The next day we sought out this 'party boat' had heard of and booked it that day. The next day we got on it and it was great. It was an all day thing and had these really fun Vietnamese guys doing all the entertainment. For example, they did a bunch of music and asked people where they were from and then made them get up and sing a song with him and his 'band'. As we are from England, we had to sing 'yellow submarine' haha, I didn't even know most of the words but it was fun as the beers started flowing. I've got a few pics of that too. One of the first things we did on the boat though, was stop on a coral reef and go snorkeling, which I was really looking forward to bus also a bit aprehensive about especially after hearing from the guys on the boat that because of the rain over night we should be warely of jelly fish. Although he did go on to say that if we did get stung, not to worry, because we could just get back on the boat, drink some beer and
wine and shake it off...so that fear was sorted! It was amazing though, some of the fish I had never seen before and were some crazy colours, shapes and sizes. The next stop the boat made was in the middle of the sea and it was called the 'floating bar'. So one of the workers on the boat got on this floating bar that was tied to the boat and the rest of us jumped off the top of this boat and were flung floating tubes to chill in as the guy on the floating bar served us up as much local wine as we wanted, good times! I can't tell you how much fun this was, it was great. Except at the end there was this guy from China that was really struggling to get back to the boat, good job buddy jump in the middle of the ocean and have some drinks even though you cant swim! So I though to my self...'What would David Hasselhoff do in this situation?'. So Jay and I swam out and got him back, didn't even get a medal though, whats up with that??? After that we stopped at a beach on
an island I think called Mun Island..maybe. There we just chilled in the sea and beach. We got talking to these great girls from Israel too from another boat but eventually got yanked away by our boat driver, swine! Then the boat took us to another island where an aquarium was situated...it was incredibly boring but that was the only bad point about the boat trip the rest was great and again we met some great people. Four of those people we met up with for dinner that night, Megan and Clarke (who was the funniest guy i've met in ages) from New Zealand and another couple from the states. We had this great hot pot meal which we cooked at our table. Megan even peeled a shrimp for me ( which sounds rude but is totally clean) which was greatly appreciated because I freakin' hate doing that! It was really good and we followed it up by another night out with them.
Another day we went to this place called Vinpearl Land. Its this island that you take a cable car to from Nha Trang. It was amazing! It had a massive water park, amusment park, loads of
free arcade games, and some shows! It was a really good day and a really touristy but fun place to go. It is funny here how water parks just dont seem safe, you get off some fast ones and feel battered when you get up, its crazy!
Other days we just chilled out on the beach or just went to this beach club place where you could rent a beach bed for the day by the pool, that places was amazing. We walked by it once and just though it looked really expensive but asked how much an it was under a pound so we loved that! A few times I've joined these vietnamese guys that come down for some beach footy after evening, thats some good stuff as been missing playing footy quite a bit. So hard playing on the sand though after not playing for ages. Another day we were asked by some guy to wear some t shirts on the beach because he was starting a new shop in town so we just went for it and he took some pictures and now we're on this big billboard in town, it's so funny that our pictures
are now in Nha Trang forever...or until they go bust I sopose!
Anyway I think thats about it really, not such an interesting blog this time but I think were were a bit 'templed out' as we call it and just wanted to have a good time chilling and having fun. I promise I'll go back to all the cultural soon ha! So tomorrow we have a bus to Mui Ne which a few hours down the coast, mainly going there for the sand dunes they have. Then after that is off to our last stop in Vietnam...Saigon. Speak to you soon. x

We are wanting to go when it is warm. I have been told it's better to go in March as it's a bit cool in Feb? Any advise would be appreciated.
