Our next stop was Nha Trang. We didn't make any reservations for our personal trip until we got to Da Nang so when we did finally get to a travel agent we realized the Miss Universe Pagent was going on in Nha Trang. The rooms were hard to find. We did finally get one near the beach with the girls right next door. We did get the superior deluxe ocean view room on the top floor that wasn't taken. Okay, it was only $85 USD so we thought we'd splurge. It was very nice. There were Miss Universe signs all over the place but we never did see anyone resembling a Miss Universe contestant. It's a pretty big city though.
In the morning we took a tour on a diving boat to the national parks in the ocean. We stopped at two different areas to snorkle. Ted and I thought the second spot was better, the girls thought the first spot was better. The minute I jumped into the water at the first spot I hit a jelly fish hotel. I whipped off my mask and quickly asked the guys on the boats if we should worry about the jelly fish.
"Oh yeah, the small ones are okay. Don't get near the ones with long tenticles". Bummer.... the ones around me had tenticles. Yes, I got stung a few times as did everyone else. It was like a game to avoid the jelly fish in order to see all the cool fish near the coral. The stings were small and didn't hurt for too long. Jessie and Vy got some good size welts from a few but all in all you just had to swim around or under them.
The parrot fish were the most colorful as were the clown and the damsels. Ted found a family of clown fish in an anemoe. There was a mom and dad and 4 little ones. They would come up to his mask and make movements like they were pretty annoyed that they were there looking at them. There was an Austrialian family snorkling also that we swam with. They thought this was very cool. The scenery below water was just a beautiful as above. We had a great time but snorkling for a few hours really burns you out.
We headed back to our hotel to have dinner and call it a night.

The MarketThis was the center of the main market in Nha Trang. If you wanted it, they had it.
Ocean ViewThis was a place we stopped at on our way to Mui Ne. There was coral and shells all over the beach.
