Our room, garden view villa We set off from Hong Kong on 9th to Saigon and got our transferred to Nha Trang. All the way by the Vietnam Airline. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to the destination.
Having arrived at the airport, we actually felt quite unhappy as we expected we had to find a cab to go the resort--Evason Ana Mandara. It was about 10o'clock when we landed and we were anxious about the way to the resort, especially it was dark outside and most Viets didn't understand English. To our great surprise, the resort had someone waited at the airport, holding a board welcoming us! That is when we felt the real journey started!
The staff escorting us to the car gave each of us a bottle of water, which definitely was something we needed! Once we got off, another Evason staff welcomed us warmly and prepared us a welcoming snack! I guessed it was a passion fruit sobert and an unknown juice, possibly sthg mixed with lemongrass and guava! Refreshing! We knew that the resort was good but seeing it at the entrance made us 'wow' a lot. It was sort of like a tribe communal, illuminated by

Room service!
About 14 USD candles (of course, there were artificial lights).
We then went into room, with the hotel staff escorting us and told us everything. When she had gone, we couldn't help screaming aloud that we were staying in this room with a splendid and spacious bathroom(later, we screamed again once we discovered they provided the lemongrass and ginger shampoo, bathgel, conditional, mosquito repellent). We had a small outer space outside our room so in case, we felt bored with the comfort inside, we could sit out and enjoy our moment.
As we hadn't had any solid thing except the lunch we had on flight, we ordered room service. One good thing of being in Vietnam and choosing a good hotel is that the price of the room service, compared with our home country (Hong Kong), is totally a bargain! We paid about USD 7(including tax and service charge) for a Pho with beef and USD 5 or 6 for spring rolls. OK, I know that out there food was lots of cheaper. But come on, this was a room service at a 5-star ( we gave 6 in fact) resort and the best Spa of Asia! Considering that, the room
service was amazingly at an attractive price. That's why later the following night, we ordered ice cream (lemon+passion fruit). It cost 7 USD again. But at our home city, 7 USD is for 2 scoops of Haagen-Dazs. Now, at the same price, we got freshly handmade scoops with real fruit fibre and an excellent presentaion. The money was worth spending!
When we got up, we were eager to see the place where we were going to have breakfast. That didn't disappoint us at all. The restaurant situated just beside the beach and we could overlook the greenish water of the morning sea with lines of palm trees leaving shadow on the bright sand. The morning sun buttered everything and listening to the waves, we had our breakfast silently. Of course, food was really outstanding, I stuffed myself with host of tropical fruit. There were western food and eastern food to cater a wide range of holidaymakers. But the sea was suffice to satisfy all, no matter where they came from. You could see that the photos look spacious and almost no one was in the way of the horizon. Well, Evason resort had the private beach for the beachgoers
of the hotel.
The staff kindly helped us to call the French restaurant we wanted to try and reserved a place for us. For the afternoon, we then went for the spa. Initially, we didn't plan to try since it looked expensive. But we still dropped by and asked for more information. It ended up we were offered a 20% off for the thing. After serious consideration, I tried the Vietnamese Massage a
nd my friend went for the Green Tea Scurb and Back Massage, both lasted 50mins. Each cost about USD 45 dollars. Well, what pused us to give it a try is first, that kind of money would bring us no SPA in Hong Kong, averagely costs USD 100 dollars. Secondly, back to the city where we lived, a tee cost about the same price. Third, it was a resort renowned for its spa service and many travel blogs and books ranked Six Senses Spa the first of Asia. Lastly, we were lured by the outdoor spa area and ensured us to see the sea and listened to waves! The spa helped us to totally emerge into the environment and cut us off from the possible

As for dinner, though the resort highly recommended us the buffet at night, (it had lobsters! They had been telling us again and again) we decided to venture into the town. But we also knew where the lobster place was! The beach! In evening, the vendors would carry their seafood and the primitive cooking tool entering the beach. We left the resort beach and entered the public one. Soon, a woman offered us a lobster at 200 000VND, that was about USD 9! Back in our city, that USD 9 may promise some shrimps but not a lobster. We didn't even bargain and accepted the price she offered... Later, an expatriate came and got himself and his girlfriend 2 lobsters, 2 big clams, 1 crabs at 500 000 VND, which was about USD 23! Nevermind, if there was next time, we surely would make a better bargain! After the pre-dinner snack, we headed for the French Resturant.
Once the colony of France, Frence food didn't cease to exist in this Asian country and many travel books had asked the holiday-goers
to try the food at half or even just a friction of the price in Hong Kong. So, we went there. Many of the food we didnt know but the waitress recommended some. We loved the environment, despite its tropical location, the night was cool and blessed with breeze. It was very stuffy and humid in Hong Kong. May be we had too many highrises and blocked the wind from coming in...
So, we went back to the hotel, and looked forward to the trip to Saigon after this one... Seriously, I really recommend the Evason Ana Mandara Resort to all of you. It is such an excellent and wonderful experience!
