Train arrived in Hanoi at 5am. Got ripped off in taxi as his meter was going up at an astronomical rate then had to wait on hotel steps for 45mins before receptionist got up to let us in. We got key for our room but this was not the standard all of our other rooms at this hotel had been (small, damp, no balcony, t.v. in a stupid, awkward place) so Rob asked the bloke if we should have a better one for the price we're paying and he said one would be available at 9am. Rob was not too chuffed as he'd been hoping to get a couple hours more kip but instead we showered, handed in some laundry and went on net for couple of hours to pass the time.

When we got into our room it stunk of smoke and had damp in the bathroom, guess these are the rooms you get when you've already been on all their tours :p Went for brekkie and booked taxi to airport. I had an afternoon nap heheh (I'm getting old!) whilst Rob watched crap on t.v.

Had our usual yummy chicken tea and set alarm for 05:45!!!

We're flying to KL tomorrow at about 9am so it's our last day in Vietnam today. I've gotta say that the North definitely turned my view of Vietnam around, Halong Bay and Sapa are amazing!
