Hanoi I arrived in Sapa in the Northwest of Vietnam on the 21st December and spent a day there while waiting to catch the night train to Hanoi which I duly did. I was in Hoi An during the lunar festival when offerings are made to deceased relatives. There was a table such as this outside every house and shop premises. The offering includes food and fake money which is later burnt.
