We arrived in the city at a brain numbing 3am and found ALL the hotels in the old quarter shut with shutters down. Gates were rattled, bells were pressed and the best we got was "Hotel is full, sorry". We did this aimlessly with the half hearted taxi driver for a few streets and ... Read Full Entry

We went along not expecting much but were very impressed and entertained. The puppeteers operate the puppets from behind a screen on submerged poles.

It appears that Uncle Ho was generally a decent sort of guy with good intentions and a strong belief in the communist principles, unlike Chairman Mao his neighbour.

I told you so
Great stuff guys! Good write up. Didn't I tell you guys how bad the traffic was in Vietnam and that you just have to take a leap of faith and hope that the motorbikes don't hit you and voila! they avoid you! ha ha ha. Richy, you just need to shave your head man. It's so bare up there, some planes could mistake it for a runway.

Skinniness, here I come!
Guess what? I just purchased some Herbalife in an attempt to lose some mucho weight. It's a series of shakes that I'm supposed to take to replace my meals and it's full of nutrients. Only 200 kilo calories per shake. Let's see what I look like in 3 months time. If it's good enough for David Beckham, it sure as hell is good enough for Julian Chong.

Weigh for ever....
Mate. You've been scammed... again. Did you not notice that David Bekham was the perfect weight before he took the stuff and the result... he's the perfect weight afterwards. Hence ZERO loss... You'll be the same old cuddly Julian Chong when we return... just a bit wiser.. ;0)
