Lucky dayI am lucky at this point. The traffic is cordial.
Vietnam is a place that you will expect the unexpected. I've always been curious about Vietnam. So when I had the chance to live in Vietnam, I am completely excited. I packed my summer clothes and did not bother to check the weather. I arrived in Hanoi, hysterically freezing, thinking, what just happened? I thought the weather will be sunny skies like anywhere else in south east asia. Apparently, Northern Vietnam has a temperate climate similar of that as Hongkong. So arriving at this time of the month would mean bringing a jacket and wearing a pull-over. On my first glance it was chaotic, too much motorbike in the street and street vendors everywhere not to mention a lot of small restaurants operating on the side walks. I've seen that they set up some small plastic chairs and tables and people gather around the sidewalk to sit, eat, chat and be merry. It's a hang out place, I may say. From a tourist's point of view it's amusing. I spent my day without a map walking around, wondering the streets for something unusual and almost positively, I did find places. When I get tired after my journey cabs are easy to

find and the drivers reliable and if I am on budget I can just hire the services of one of the motorist on standby and he or she can get me anywhere for less money. The market place offers so many assorted things of all kinds of stuff. I see traces of Chinese influences in most of the handicrafts. Their are many lakes around the city but I usually just hang out in Hoan Kiem district. This entry is all about Hanoi but I am sure that other parts of Vietnam is as interesting and enjoyable as Hanoi. I went to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) but only for one day. I can say that people and places are more exciting in the capital. I cannot say for sure, one day is not enough time for comparison. I can conclude though, that I adored living in Hanoi, Vietnam. I was charm by the sheer simplicity and usual chaos blend together in one. Every single thing, every motion is something that have grabbed my attention. The people has certain qualities when it comes marketing as if they were built as strategist. Some of them can be quite aggressive and some can
