Bright and early I woke in my fancy bed besides Bina. I am feeling fortunate that I am feeling no side effects from the beer and whiskey that was flowing from dinner last night and am excited to now indulge in breakfast. I know already i will miss breakfast immensely. At the same time, as I groggily walk past the gym, I know I will miss that little room as well. I would kill to get a run in this morning but no luck today.
Instead I say my goodbye and multiple thanks to Bina, enjoy the fabulous breakfast, and head out. Being stingy I refuse to take a motorbike and spend the next ten minutes totally panicked I'm going to miss the bus because I spent a smidge to much time enjoying my breakfast.
When I make it to Sihn tours not a sole in sight I freak just for a second. As I walk inside I'm told the bus is running 1 1/2 hours late. Annoyed simply because I could have gotten a run in, I meander around town snapping a few shots.
When it is time to board I
find the bus pleasantly comfortable. After all the horror stories I was a bit nervous but it was brilliant. Everyone had their own cubicle and which was pretty much a bed, which I suppose if you are any taller than me than might indeed be a bit dreadful, but I was quite comfortable.
With a half hour pit stop at the beach we seemed to make brilliant time. And so I found myself in Hue. I walked over to Hue Backpackers Hostel were I dropped off my stuff and headed out. It was close to three and my goal was to find some place to run while admiringly he sights.
I headed to the Citadel where a motorbike guy lied to me, not very convincingly about which bridge I had to cross and seemed to be pretty pissed when I chose to walk. I knew he was lieing but I love a good walk.
I strolled around the Citadel, refusing to pay to go inside I chose to do some yoga instead. This was found to be really interesting by both locals and foreigners. I should have charged and started practicing
giving lessons. When I was done with a good 40 minute session I naturally began looking for food.
Can you tell how much I love food I swear I'm always looking for it. (By the way ill add the food at the end when I have all my notes together, yes I'm taking notes, but I'm writing this on a bus and the notes are on top of said bus. Also it is hour 26 of this bus ride so i apologize for all typos). Well I found some food and continued on to find more, was ripped off for an ear of corn but I really wanted it and the landed on yogurt. As I walked back to the hostel I was told about ladies night which intrigued me but when i bumped into a chez fellow we meandered over to the bar and saw it was dead.
Instead we popped on over to the river and grabbed a beer there together. We chatted it up and decided that tomorrow we would go to the beach together.
After a morning workout and a mediocre breakfast I popped over to his
place and we grabbed some bikes and headed out. First stop street food YAY! Noodles, oddles and oodles of noodles followed by strange canomes YUM!
We proceeded on, first stopping at some spa, realized we didn't want to spend money and then to the beach which the entire way I thought was just a brilliant work out. We found a beach where we were literally the only ones there and just relaxed. The water was cold and the sun was burning making it a fabulous combo.
Before it got to dark we headed home and grabbed a bite to eat. Exhausted we called it a night and the following day was filled with more food, figuring out plane situations and the long awaited bus ride to Hanoi
