Although I knew this trip was going to be a blast, never would I have imagined doing even a fraction of what I have experienced over the course of just four days in Bangkok.
So far I have:
enjoyed peanuts and beer in South Korea, eaten a star shaped fried egg, had the best fruit of my life, shopped in the chique malls of central Bangkok, been humored by the sayings on more than one hilarious t-shirt, watched flamingos frolic in a person's back yard, eaten raw oysters, Tom Yum Kung, Drunken Man's noodles, Satay, Kai Yang, and many more amazing Thai dishes, visited Wat Phra Kaew (the grand palace), explored the streets of Kaosan Road, seen the best (and only) Johnny Depp impersonator of life, enjoyed my fair share of Singha (my favorite brand of Thai beer so far), toured the ancient temples of Ayutthaya (the former capital city), been in the presence of hundreds of answered wishes, witnessed the largest collection of rooster statues I have ever seen, been humbled by the tranquility of Buddhist temples, fed schools of holy fish, seen catfish the size of a shark, ridden an elephant, gotten spit on by an elephant, watched an
elephant walk on its hind legs, listened to an elephant play the harmonica, taped an elephant riding a bike, seen a man wrestle a man eating alligator and stick his head in its mouth, watched Kazakstan face off against Cuba in volleyball, eaten a KFC fish taco, driven past the biggest billboard I have ever seen, been given a Thai name, played basketball with our tour guide who happens to be the star free throw/three point shooter on the Thai womens national basketball team, reacted to something I ate, recovered from the reaction, enjoyed a boat ride through a floating market, been humbled by the generosity of the people here.
I am in my element right now
