Hello all!!! Well what an adventure. We thought we would wonder over to Kanchanaburi to see the sights it may have. So we booked a minibus too give us a tour. Well I say minibus it was more like a grand prix driver late for a race. I reckon there is no speed limit over here, and if there was, there definatley isnt any speed cameras. We did get some definate air from a couple of bumps in the road!! I found it great fun, not sure anyone else agreed though.
Our first stop was the floating market. We got dropped off at some locals house and then they took us there by there long boat. They make you were there hats but we are quite glad as it did begin to rain a little. It was a nice ride though through the homes by the river and it is amazing watching an old lady actually paddling us there!!! When we got there it was amazing, there were sooo many long boats crammed in such a tight stretch of river. People are grabbing on to your boat trying to sell you there items, people cooking food in the middle
of there boats. I was adventurous enough to try a deep fried banana as it went well with my beer at 9am. There were many collisions but I get the impression the dont have insurance. I did have to save a lady from falling in though as her glove got stuck to my boat!!
After this our minibus picked us up again and took us to the bridge of death. Which you may all know as bridge over the river kwai. Although it is still used by trains they are happy for people to attempt to walk across it at their own risk. Iv got medical insurance so I didnt see the harm. I was a nice place to be, though I would like to be more educated to what happened there as it seems interesting.
After this again we were crammed into our minibus, each time though leaving people behind and picking up new ones. We headed off to Tiger Temple. And as it says in the name, it is filled with Tigers amongst over animals. At some point me and Kim did fear for our lives as we had to sign a piece of paper to
say if we did its not their fault. This temple was filled with animals from boars, horses, deer, peacocks, buffullo and of course tigers. The tigers were kept in a big canyon out of the sun, they say they arent drugged but I knew exactly how they felt from past experiences. We had to creep round to pose with the tigers and they seemed harmless. It was when we went to play with the cubs that we felt our lives could be at danger as they are so full of energy and I did witness one actually going for a girl. I was lucky enough to walk one of the cubs and it put all my working out to shame as it dragged me for a while. They are nice but im sure they would just ruin the carpet!!!!

Hey Bro and Kim, yet another week has passed, i'm sure you are beginning to loose track of the days and weeks! Its half term now so partying is officially on the cards, starting last night with a wedding reception in Stratford upon Avon, wicked, messy party with a 'line up' of the freestylers & Ellis dee (a line up at a wedding, i know seems crazy... but this was no ordinary wedding!) Through my minging hangover and multiple vomitting sessions i have logged on to witness your latest adventures.
I did the exact same excursion to floating markets, kwai bridge and tiger temple. Amazing, one of the best days of my travels, glad that you have experienced it too. When we were there, a rather large american rambo got in our long boat and capsized it... wahaha! will never forget the look on the little thai ladies face when she popped up and realised what had happened, then left him in the water to fend for himself! hahaha! The Tiger temple was amazing, but i had to put a a burden on it, those Tigers are without a doubt drugged up their eyes! They are carnivores, they are fighting cats, they do not like humans, therefore they must be putting something in their food... its those buddhists, don't trust anyone who dresses like they have just been tangoed!
Anyway, where to next.... Chiang Mai/Rai? Get trekking, you'll love it! Thanks for keeping us updated, piccies look fab and yes, still very envious. Only 8 more weeks til im in india on the beatiful beaches of Goa..... hehe!
Think about you a lot, much love big sis x
