Lost in Translation - Thailand

We finally made it off Ko Lanta - we had to abandon our dreams of living out the Robinson Crusoe fantasy on one of the many gorgeous islands (Ko Hai, Ko Muk) which surrounded us and were spitting distance away, due to the cyclone in Myanmar - such a tradegy! We actually didn't hear of it until now as the electricity and therefore internet has been extremely intermittent.

Dealing with Thai's can be a real challenge sometimes, mostly because they look so damn friendly. I have had to pretend to be mentally handicapped sometimes on this trip to avoid dealing with touts and the like but this was my best work ever. We struggled to leave the island not only because of the weather, but because of shoddy travel agents. It's easy to ask how much something costs, the real trick comes when you try to get some details. Needless to say I'll never ride a "perry" a "berry" or a ferry from Ko Lanta.

We are now back in Krabi and on our way to Railay Beach which is supposed to be the new Phuket with apparently the most stunning beach locations in all of Thailand! Can't wait!

After this we are heading to Phuket and then flying to Singapore for a few days then back to Bangkok then off to Ko Chang to hopefully enjoy some more of the beach life!

It's such a tough life but someones gotta do it!

We have sooooo many stories but it's waaaaaaaay past beer o'clock (we have been travelling all day) so will add some more details when I have time.
