Surfs up?!

"How far do ya think it is?"
"500m? nar at least a km!"
Oh well lets find out! So we dive of the rocks and start swimming for the Island!
"do ya think were half way?"
"Yer nearly!"
We finally make to the little Is of the coast & go exploring."
It was late Arvie, we had a big swim back & Alex cut his leg on some rocks. So we started the journey back & hoped we didn't run into any big toothy fish!

On the bus to Phuket i chatted to 2 German lads (Alex & c.v) how had just spent 8 months in aus & where heading for 1 of the phuket beaches (they had bought surfboards in aus). So when we got to phuket town (where i had originally planned on stayin) we (me the Germans & john a statesian that wanted to learn to surf) we got a taxi to the beach & found a top guest house- the Kangaroo guest house ( 400 baht a night, twin room, a/c, fridge, bathroom, veranda & works out about 7bucks each a nite!)
We hit the beach for a surf in a huge storm (small waves but so refreshing after a long arsed bus trip)
We stayed 4 days in Katon beach & we hired scooters & toured phuket Is, a h2o fall, huge food markets, cruising in monsoon rains, i little bit of a surf, we swam out to an Is, drank a few beer Chang's, partied in the Lady bars in Paton beach & found a top little 24hr outdoorish restaurant (we would order all different dishes & share them, got to try alot a top thai food).
No surf so lets go to Ko Phi Phi to see the beach!
