I made it!

Well after a day of bus journeys...i am not sure why such journeys here are turned into whole day events but alas it was relatively simple and we made it here safely.
Left Samui at 12.20 this afternoon and arrived here about 11pm, the boat ride was smooth and i just read the hours away till it was time to get back on the bus...all the way (not very far) to Surat Thani, here we seperated from the people going to Krabi and Bangkok. The 5 of us going to Phuket got back on the bus (the 2nd bus of the day) to another stop. Here we were given 2 options, wait half an hour, pay an extra 200baht and get to Phuket in 3 hours or get the bus we paid for (the bus was meant to arrive in Phuket at 9.30pm) at 7pm...well after umming and arring, 4 of us went out for a meal and returned at 6.35 to be told we were late...rushed around, got on a big tuk tuk and taken somewhere then 2 of us had to get off so Jess and Kate got off and Jimmy and myself stayed on...we then got taken by this tuk tuk to another place and onto a minibus...which suprisingly the guy who paid the extra 200baht was also on- oops!
I think we must have been lucky as the other 2 girls had to sit on plastic chairs in the coach isle...oops!
These 2 girls have made it to Phuket but still not made it to the hostel yet...now 1 1/2hours later...hmmmm
Just chilling out in the hostel now waiting for them to arrive (they fly to Singapore tomorrow)...ive heard from Fabien and the 2 french girls as they are in Patong- another area of Phuket and are interested in hiring out a car here for the day so that may be the plan...i hear from them tomorrow morning.
