Hello family and friends!! We are alive and well! The last couple days have been in transit so internet was nowhere to be found haha.
After Hua Hin we took a 5 hour train south to Champhoun which is another little port city south of Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand. We got into town around 3 and then book a night boat on a supply ferry that left Champoun and 11 pm and would arrive on a little diving island called Koh Tao.
The boat was absolutely insane, hahahahahaha. We stepped on around 10:00 and it was an old rust bucket, there were wall to wall bunk beds and we quickly hopped in the first set we could find to reserve a spot to sleep for the night. The boat was filled with Thai people making the 7 hour boat ride to bring supplies to businesses they own on this island or to check in with family, etc. We were feeling pretty out of place until a large group of french kids around our age stumbled on right before the launch, we felt a little calmer knowing there was some other westerners around.
Needless to say, a 7 hour boat ride in the Gulf of Thailand at the end of monsoon season was pretty, niether one of us slept the whole time and we just laid there ricking back and forth trying not to get sick. It was quite an adventure!
We got to this amazing island around 6:00am and took a truck straight to our resort which is called Charm Churee Resort. It is soooooooooooooooooo beautiful here!! We are practicly the only ones at the resort so we had the private cove beach to ourselves for the most part, minus a scottish couple. We had lunch on the beach and got side by side beach massages which was amazing!! Our suite is beautiful and is under $100 a night with a beautiful view of the ocean and a terrace, ill post pictures when we get home.
Tommorrow were going to take the more touristy boat over to Surat Thani and then a bus to Krabi, and then another boat to Koh Phi Phi!!! If youve never heard of it, google : Koh Phi Phi and then get happy for us because its going to be incredible!!!! Were trying to spend our last days here just mellowing out and relaxing, reading our books, spending quality quiet time with eachother and trying to really enjoy life and the peaceful ocean here. So when we come back to the states well be ready to work hard again and do this all over!! HAha.
Love you all and thank you for the comments and emails, it has been nice to have a small connection with you all back home. Were looking forward to sharing stories and pictures with you all soon!
