Ok, so by the title you know know that everything you ever hear about how wonderful Thailand is, it's all true. I flew to Surat Thani last night, met a lovely Thai girl on the bus, and we went to the night market for some real Thai food. Then she and her mother dropped my off at the boat (which was a glorified cargo ship with beds) and slept all the way to Koh Tao. I arrived at 6am and headed to Ban's Dive Resort where I am going to camp out for the next while. The place is amazing, has a pool and everything right near bye, plus I start an Open Water dive course today. I am so excited.

Basically it feels like India here, but more polished and a bit cleaner. There is also the big plus of no leering men, which is very good. Thai people so far have been the epitome of polite and helpful.

Can I say it again? I love it here!

P.S. Here are some pictures of my birthday, our last day in Mumbai and the deal so far in Thailand. Enjoy!

sounds like fun
So we both have settled into tropical paradises. I am in the Andaman Islands right now and it is quite fantastic. I hope Thailand is all you had hoped.

Hi Sarah, Happy to read that you love Thailand. The mall is HUGE! My son took diving lessons and my daughter is talking about taking the course as well. My guess is that you will thoroughly enjoy the experience. Take care.
