I love travelling with Jeff. Everywhere we go we meet other travellers and its so fun to talk to them. We've met people from England, Ukraine, Austria, Germany and Australia. They say the Thai people are friendly but you really dont understand that until you are here. They are so happy and warm you feel like they are family! First night on Koh Samui we walked down the beach to watch the fire twirlers. It was an amazing show. I had heard that Thailand can be very cheap but didn't really know how cheap. For dinner I had veggie/chicken/rice, Jeff had burger & fries, one beer and one water all for $16 (with tip). Imediately I'm thinking 'start the car' (from Ikea comercail)!! It rained a bit yesterday so we relaxed until late afternoon. A one hour massage turned into a two hour massage.....$40.00 for the both of us. Then we walked down the main street. The trafic is crazy; people on skooters zig zap the street between cars & trucks so you have to be real careful crossing the streets. You would think that the electrical wires hanging everywhere would be an electician's nightmare. But we meet 2 ladies from England; Tracey & Leanne who told us that the power very rarely goes out. Leanne lives here with her Thai husband and we were destined to meet her for sure. After Koh Samui Jeff wanted to go to the island of Koh Tao but after talking with Leanne we are skipping Koh Tao and going over near Phuket where the diving is better. Its very hot so we stop for a beer. We met 3 crazy Australians and one drink turned into many! Two of the Ausys were all tatoed up so I thought I would join them....and it didnt even hurt! Candy was very entertaining! I'm having problems loading picture so will load them later.

A unified Thai kingdom was established in the mid-14th century. Known as Siam until 1939, Thailand is the only Southeast Asian country never to have been taken over by a European power. A bloodless revolution in 1932 led to a constitutional monarchy....more info
