Koh Samui to Koh Tao

The Samui airport is a lot like the Big Island in Hawaii - outdoors, small, quiet and humid. We took a taxi to our 1 night digs the Little Pearl Bungalows - owned by a german man and thai woman. She greeted us (name forgotten) with glasses of orange juice, a big smile, warm heart and that classic thai feminine, demure affect that fills one with ease.

We promptly passed out from travel exhaustion.

The next morning, a quick breakfast, walk on the beach and taxi ride to Na Thong to catch the ferry to Koh Tao. The taxi driver was darling....he dreams of visiting hollywood, loves Brad Pitt and Jessica Alba, and Tamra was totally enamered. It's amazing how guile-less thai people are.

We are already getting pretty good at letting plans change and seizing opportunities. We bumped into a travel store and a delightful woman (name forgotten) who hooked us up with a shuttle to the ferry and our FIRST THAI MASSAGES! At 300 bhat (about $8 US) there will be a lot of massages on this journey.

A quick bite and we were on the ferry. About 2 hours later we are on Koh Tao, suprised by 2 men who were waiting to pick us up and 15 minutes in a tuk-tuk and we had arrived at Charm Churee Villa. OMG! What a place. What a room. What an island.

Now we get to settle in, drop into a slower and deeper place and enjoy what is likely the most luxurious portion of our trip.

Off to the honeymoon suite!
