We have finally made it to Ko Samui and as the forecast says...its absolutely peeing it down. It is raining very heavily and there are some mini floods on the roads too, still looking forward to the party though- il just get my bright coat out...just to make sure nobody can lose me ;).
We had a bit of an adventure on the bus journey...first we watch 2 films then the lights are off and its obviously time to sleep so i get my ipod out (cure for all bus journeys) and doze away to be awaked at 6.30 by a man shouting everyone get up and off the bus...that was a shock to the system. We were then all labelled with where we were going and told to wait till 8.30- well all those going to Samui, Pha Ngan, Tao...this side instead of Phi Phi, Lanta, Krabi and Phuket.
Then we all had to give our tickets in...minor technicality as we never got given them back at the other bus place where conveniently they couldn't find them...by this point Jimmy was stressed but we all know by theory...and so after explaining and getting a bit of sympathy...well not much really- this is the Thai tourism industry lol...we paid 200baht for another ticket (me telling Jimmy to get over his annoyance- its about 3pounds)- i like a simple life.
Slept on the next part of the bus journey easily and then all had to get bags and make a run for the boat...another relatively pain free journey on the boat to Samui and finally we get on a minibus and make it to our guesthouse where we dump our stuff and have some lunch then make it back to the guesthouse where i proceeded to sleep the day away lol. Just got the energy together to have dinner (Indian cuisine) and now back at the guesthouse...really can't believe this weather. I blame the irish guys we met on the minibus in Samui for bringing the weather with them :)
No plans here, probably just chill out- the weather is looking pants, the full moon party is on the 12th and we are booked in here till the 14th then going on to Phuket where i am going back to the hostel i first went to in attempt to meet people to go to Phi Phi with...still considering doing my open water there.
Hope the weather is better there for everyone (yes i know i am still in shorts and t-shirts in the rain here but its still very heavy rain).
Speak soon.

Some people gotta a nerve, whingeing about hot rain... We've got floods here, too, and our rain's COLD, COLD and COLD !!!! 4 degrees C this morning and torrential rain, plus strong winds. Now I've got that off my chest, I can talk about happier things.
I don't suppose you recognise Koh Samui now? Do you remember that we subjected you to pretty and quaint traditional Thai bungalows on stilts in an even prettier garden, right on the beach? There was a beach restaurant under a thatched roof (where we got bitten well, in our innocence and naivety) and a raised deck with roof, where Dad spent all his time having his damaged back massaged. Oooh! and, of course, you spent hours there with several Thai women having beaded plaits put into your very long hair.
We then made the mistake of taking you down the road to a white marble(?) resort hotel, which made you both green with envy and led us to the disastrous error of promising 'a proper resort' when we reached the mainland. Hence 'MT Resort', when we couldn't find the planned one.
Enjoy the Full Moon Party - carefully - with or without added precipitation.
Much love from the famous ones (yes, we were clearly visible behind the judges on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday and Sunday!)
