And I thought I had got away from all of the hard work- today we started volunteering with Hi Phi Phi, the international organisation with was set up in response to the Asian Tsunami. We were the only 2 volunteers today and started to work on reconstructing the foundations of a beach front house- really hard work- we are not cut out for manual labour at all! We had a good laugh though, even with the language barrier, the Thai sense of humour is great.
We haven't really done that much since I last wrote.... We have been to Phuket- but it wasn't for us- we spent 2 nights in Karon, which is much quieter than Patong- but too quiet for us- it was as if we had invaded a Saga holiday!!!!! The beach was nice though- the sun as HOT- hotter than it is here in Phi Phi
We have been here for 3 days now and it is really lovely, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it has not disappointed- i mean how could it? White sandy beaches, good food, good nightlife and friendly people-what more could I ask for?
The plan is to
relax 2mor (if I can move) and Monday we are doing a snorkelling tour of the islands ( yes, attempt no.2) - wish me luck again!, Tuesday we are leaving for Koh Pha Ngan!
Love P x x x
