Our First Week - Phuket and Koh Phi Phi

Hello from Koh Phi Phi!

We arrived in Phuket fine with just a slight delay to our flight. Spent three night in Phuket before heading over to Koh Phi Phi.

Phuket was OK, but very touristy and busy nightlife etc. Koh Phi Phi is very different, its a lovely tiny island where there are no roads or cars, just little lanes. Its beautiful here and we have really enjoyed our stay here. The first night we got here we met a group of people and went to a beach party with them which turned out being very messy and ended with me carrying James home which took about an hour (usually a ten minute journey)! Very good night though. Have met a few people and even bumped into some people we know from home here.

Yesterday we went Kayaking and went to little deserted bay where we saw some monkeys and today we took a boat ride over to the other island, Koh Phi Phi Lay, to Maya beach, where the film 'The Beach' was flmed, it was beautiful there.

Tomorrow we are up early and getting a boat - bus journey - another boat to Koh Phangan where we plan to spend a few days, go to the full moon party and move on to the other island nearby before heading to Bangkok, Chang Mai then onto Cambodia.

All in all we are having a lovely time and having lots of fun. Beats being at work!!
