We arrived in Ko Phi Phi this morning, just catching up on some errands.
We left our hostel in Krabi with everyone feeling pretty awful. Took a cab to Ao Nang, where we caught a longtail boat to Railay. Railay isn't an island, it's actually a peninsula that just has no road access. Weather was beautiful, and the limestone cliffs (karsts) were stunning as our boat landed, along with the white sand beach. Pics are below. Despite everyone's gut troubles, we were excited.
Took our bags to the front office for our jungle house. They are a conglomerate of foreign owned homes that get rented out when the owners are away. Our house was absolutely amazing, and the pictures below do it no justice at all. Set back in the jungle below a huge 200metre sheer cliff, surrounded by birds, lizards and monkeys. Beautiful old wood, open air concept. Total heaven.
Despite the tiredness, we made a trip to the beach. The water was shockingly warm, and incredibly clear. Beach was amazing, and not too packed at all. Swam for a bit, then back to the house for a snooze. This is when karma catches up to me
