So the tour was well nice. We practically saw everything there was to see on Phi Phi Leh including a beach which everyone seemed to be going there for. Something to do with a film about a backpacker ? Anyone familiar with the title, let me know.
The snorkeling itself was yet again different from previous experiences in terms of sea life. Less starfish but more.. well.. fish. What kind of fish? Ehm.. stripy yellow ones. Like I cared. The water wasn't cold, I could see my toes and they didn't mention the word 'shark'. That's all I needed to know !
Never thought a snorkelling tour could be so wearing though. In the end all we wanted to do was get back, get washed and get dinner. But we were to do none of that as the sun hadn't set yet. Smashing ! By the time we circumnavigated the island and its bigger twin, no one in the boat could be arsed about the bloody sunset anymore and made subtle gestures to the skipper to bring us back to shore. He wasn't having any of it, of course, so soaking in our misery we took an obscene amount

of sunset pics which will probably bore our friends and families senseless when we get back. Lol. I apologise in advance.
Another thing I really shouldn't forget to mention is the guesthouse we stayed in. Yes that's right, another dodgy one. So dodgy in fact we had a strong suspicion it was a brothel. The man storming out of one the rooms shouting "feck that" sort of gave it away. We reckoned he was in for a little action with one of the ladyboys he chatted up in one of the bars. Oh to be able to see his face when he saw the wee willy. Lol. Anyway, having experienced sleeping in a cathouse, I really think it is my moral duty to advise.. always always take a sleeping bag insert with you when backpacking ! You never know where you could end up staying. Ours were never more appreciated.
Partywise Phi Phi was ace. A half moon party was on last night. It seems in Thailand, whatever moon it is, there's always a party. If it's not a full moon then it's the half moon, or the black moon, or the blue moon, or whatever color they

can come up with. We did have fun though. Hung out with a few lads from Oz and Ireland whom we met the night before. Tanwyn, one of the Aussie boys, kept coming with buckets of Thai whisky to share and the next thing I knew I was having the worst hangover to date. Less than a week in Thailand and already my reputation as the sober girl is ruined. Nice.
A monster day lies ahead of us now as we're making the cross country move to the Gulf. Boat to Krabi, bus to Surat Thani and night boat to Koh Tao. If I throw up later on, I won't even be sure if it's because of motion sickness or just the booze. The night boat is similar to a sardine can apparently, so that bit should be amusing. I really should consider religion again if I survive this day.
Phi Phi LehMaya Bay and the beach that seems to attract everyone. I wonder what's so special about it.
Phi Phi LehThe uninhabited island has lots of gorgeous quite bays like this.
FishesStripy yellow ones. I told you.
