Don't even start to dream about budget accommodation when thinking about Don Phi Phi islands. We did but we needed to forget those thoughts and stay in real. Our hostel's (or actually it was The Inn, what's the difference anyway?!) location was in Krabi which was both the easy touchdown point to Phi Phi and place to relax, shop and sightsee as well.

Phi Phi's beauty wasn't big surprise at all. Like almost everyone knows already it's been in the movies and it's the topic of conversation for travelers all over Thailand. The other side of this allure was that the place was not laid-back or desert at all.. and our Phi Phi Islands Tour by speed boat was highly priced. Well not so after a hard bargaining but the most expensive thing we did during our travels BUT on the other side well worth of it as well.

Maya Bay, the beach were "The Beach" has filmed was pretty much full of hustle and bustle like our friend who had been there a year ago told us beforehand. But still the beach was incredible and the sand, so soft and so white. We spend an hour there just

Someone was really living there!
relaxing, swimming and wondering.

Snorkeling was one of the best parts on our tour. It was love at first sight and I felt that I was swimming in a large, living aquarium!. Whole the reef was full of colorful fishes, various sizes and various colors. Once we stopped the area called Hin Klarng which was a fantastic open sea with big, massive reef to snorkel.

Although we had a schedule whole the day felt like there was no reason to be in a hurry. We enjoyed lunch on the Phi Phi Don islands, which is famous for being the island without roads and continued to Bamboo Island after that.

In the evening we also bought a huge portions of ice-cream to celebrate our fascinating day. Viva La Vie ( and Italian ice - cream :D)

Ko Phi Phi totally was jaw-dropping experience and almost evoked my tears, almost.. It also gave me a though what will happen if they don't start to restrict the growing tourism there in the future since the area would need better preservation already now. I'm content and happy we went there, to see those natural beauties and understood once again what

Beautiful beach and such a warm water
we need to preserve for. It happens when you travel and see these amazing places for yourself, that you, you yourself can make the difference.
