Loads to catch up on here but luckily much of the same has been going on so really will keep some of it short...!!

Friday 11th January

Went and got my bike fixed today...battery was flat so wheeled it to garage and left for a while, cost just 50 baht for a new battery (about 75p...!) then 100 baht for a spark plug, bit different from home i think! Then i took it to the other garage to get a new panel for the front...cost 1,800 but he done it all in 40 minutes while i had my lunch next door so just gave him 2,000...would have been a whole heap more if i'd have taken it back to the rental place with those scratches as that is how they make their money...they must love it when us farang fall off our bikes!...maybe thats why they drive like they do, cause they own a bike rental place??
On the evening we went to a Thai/Dutch wedding reception...felt a bit weird as we didn't know them but Por and Av assured us it was ok. Glad we did as free drinks on the table so cheap night! Av was so drunk as was her Dad! Me and Por gave Av's parents a lift home on our bikes, luckily Av's Mom wasn't drunk as the Dad kept leaning to the side and Por had to stop a couple of times and tell him to sit still. We then went of to Holiday Beach resort where we know a couple of Thai lads that had been breakdancing at the reception...i know, how 80's!! bloomin funny though! After about half hour of Av's drunken talk we decided she should also go home (plus she kept drinking the Sangsom which we had taken from the reception and this bar didn't have any so needed to keep what little we had left...selfish i know but she really had drunk enough) It took Av about 4 goes to actually get on the back of my bike...Stel took a video of it as it was so funny but it was too dark so no picture...you can just hear me and Stel pissing ourselves laughing in the background. She sat still all the way home then practically fell off the bike at her house...oh did i laugh!!! Then her 2 dogs were trying to jump all over her so she couldn't get up, then after she finally got to her feet she fell down one of the holes that the dogs had dug...oh haven't laughed so much for ages!
I managed to get back to beach, polish off the Sangsom, and think we left about 4am.

Saturday 12th January

Went to do morning feed at clinic and the little puppy was so sad when we left i asked Por if i could come back and get her later which i did...Ash had a BBQ at her house so i went back and fetched little puppy and took her along for a day out. She has so much energy now and her tummy has gone down, they think it was swollen cause she hadn't eaten, bit like the African kids. Anyway, she had an absolute ball running around, biting peoples toes/flip flops/mats...bless her.

Sunday 13th - Monday 14th - Tuesday 15th January

all a bit of a blur as to what happend what day but pretty much: Emma arrived (new vet nurse from Essex staying for 3 months) Sarah arrived (vet from Canada staying just 2 weeks) Monday was definitly the day my little puppy was taken back to the temple where we found her - yes i shed a little tear! She is just so cute and loves to have a cuddle as much as she loves running around. We had a dog brought in that had a machete wound to his ear so it was decided to remove part of it - see photos! Also had a little puppy brought in from Chaloklum by a farang lady - puppy is a stray from the jungle that she found with a big wound on his back, loads of maggots crawling around in in that had to be taken out...see photos! Then another lady brought in a dog from Thong Sala temple with badly swollen leg that was infected and also think fractured - so that was amputated later in the week. I didn't get to see that as my day off but Stel got to see some of it and buried the little leg. The dog is now happily running around and will be taken back to the temple soon.
As for the evenings - we went to Amsterdam one night for a change, so we could see sunset, other than that it's pretty much usual stuff: dinner somewhere, then either Jumunjy of Coco for drinks though Jumunjy has the egde these days as better music, more people and a pool table!

Wednesday 16th January

chill out day - relaxing, reading. Evening was last night for Grace, a friend of Ash's that has been here for a week so met for dinner then went to Coco for drinks. By midnight most people went home but me and Grace joined Lee and a pissed up French lad to go to Dirty Angel (bit of a girly bar but small and not busy this night so was ok) We did a few shots and ended up staying there till 5am..!! Although girly bar i got chatting to a friendly guy called Jack - both had no plans for Thursday so decided to hook up and go to beach.

Thursday 17th January

lovely day as makes a change to have company on my day off since the Christmas crowd left. Had breakfast at Haad Salad, then went to Ma Had and had a massage on the beach...how lovely was that...lasted hour and half, had a snooze whilst she was doing it as well. Then made our way up to Chaloklum and lazed about in hammocks drinking some more sangsom before heading back to Haad Salad for dinner on the beach...a lovely BBQ'd barracuda with jacket potato and salad. All in all a good day out.

Friday 18th January

pretty much a chill out day - drinking...coffee! haha..had a break from sangsom today as out in Haad Rin witht he girls later. Me, Stel, Emma, Sarah, Rachel, Av and another new girl Christal...(she's Stels replacement...mine arrives soon) all headed off and had a great night. We went for a curry first which wasn't very nice and actually made me feel like not drinking!! Won't be going there again! Though i did manage a few vodkas as got a flyer handed to me with 3 free drinks on it! Also, i have been saying for a while now about getting a tattoo done while i am here...some they do by needle and some they do by bamboo...i decided to get mine done whilst in Haad Rin and had it done by bamboo! Got my name in Thai on my wrist. It didn't hurt too much at all but it's a bit weird watching him do it as you can see your skin pull up with the bamboo as it takes it out! I have got 2 different Thai girls to write it out for me before but stupidly i hadn't got the paper with me though Jack confirmed it was right, The only thing was when i shown it to one of the girls the next day she said they had just missed off a little " ' " above the last letter so when we go to Full Moon on Tuesday i'll go get it finished. Stel managed to either lose her phone or get it nicked...i was calling her to see where she was and some man kept answering telling me they were by Cactus bar...luckily didn't take me long to suss the bastard out and tell him to fuck off. Most of the girls were pretty drunk so decided to stay but once Stel found her phone had gone it kind of put a dampner on it so we left at 3.30am...the others were there till 7.30am!!

Saturday 19th January

After waking Stel up to go to work ..she has no alarm now her phone has gone again! - went into town for coffee and croissant with Jack...how very civilised!
Stel and me then met with some of the girls and spent the afternoon on the beach - really need to get the bottom half of my back tanned as only have bloomin tankini to wear so now have horrendous tan lines!! Later went into town and treated myself to a pedicure before meeting the girls for dinner. Stel wasn't feeling so good...in fact when i arrived after my pedicure she looked like shit!! so she went home for an early night and as the girls were knackered from there night in Haad Rin so did they...good job i've made friends with Jack now too as he had nothing to do either so off we went to Jumunjy for...you guessed it...sangsom and coke!!

Sunday 20th January

Quiet day at the clinic, always seems to be like this just before full moon party...not sure why?? Harvey has a bath every Sunday now though so that gives us somethig to do...he has a skin infection thats not clearing up. After catching upon stuff at internet we went off for dinner - Stel feeling much better now and was craving a sausage and egg sandwich..!! Jack joined us for dinner and later we met up with the girls at Jumunjy and had a few drinks. The others all wanted to go home little bit early again as still catching up from their 7.30am Haad Rin jaunt, i didn't want to go home so me and Jack went off to Sitanu upthe coast road to the Pirates Bar for Moonset party. It's a small cove just off a big beach...really could have been used by pirates some day you know..! Anyway, a cool place and happy atmosphere so stayed a while before heading home.

Monday 21st January

another quiet day at the clinic. I took 'Badger' the puppy out a few times for a little run around, he's just so cute with his little coat on...and no, i don't like to see dogs dressed in clothes but this serves a purpose of stopping him scratching his wound and getting it dirty. He is going home tomorrow, back to the jungle. The English woman that brought him in is picking him up and will look after him while he needs medication and bring him back soon to have his stitches out.
Feeling bit tired today after late night last night which is a shame as a party on tonight just across from our house where Brandon Block is playing with his "Ibiza style" dancers...whatever thats gonna be like..??!! Thing is it is also Full Moon party again tomorrow and it will be our last one so need to save myself for that...though if i just go home nowand have a kip maybe i could manage a bit of a party later...though not too late as have surgery day tomorrow so have to be in at 8.30...!!
Really can't believe we finish at the clinic next week!!! I looked at the rota yesterday and it even says "Last Day" on next Tuesday :-(
