Sunrise
This view is from our bungalow!
Our time here on the beach has come to an end – and so quickly it seems!!
We experienced a HUGE tropical storm a few days ago. Thunder crashed right above our bungalows! Very scary… Even with ear plugs, an eye mask and a boyfriend to cuddle!!
The next day we had planned to hike on Koh Adang but it was still raining in the morning so we had to wait until the following day. The island of Adang is visible from where we are. We took a long tail boat to get there – it took about 20 minutes. The hike itself was HARD! It wasn’t very long (only about 2km!) but was steeply uphill the whole way.. And i’m not talking paved steps! It was also about 35 degrees and incredibly humid!! All that aside, the view of Koh Lipe from the top was phenomenal.
The other exciting thing (and only thing really, aside from beaching and eating!) was learn how to do batik artwork at the gallery/workshop on the island. Basically you draw your concept on the canvas in pencil then use hot wax to draw outlines

Seafood at Monkey Bar
Our absolute favourite bar on the beach. Fresh seafood caught daily - if they don't catch anything then the bar isn't open!! My favourite is the squid, Nick's favourite is the prawns.
and then paint over the top. Once the wax dries you wash it and peel it off, to create a white line effect. We did one together that is supposed to be the view from our bungalow. Very fun!
Other than this, it’s been beach… food… beach… cocktail…repeat for 10 days! Tomorrow we head to ISTANBUL!
