Hi Peeps

We arrived in Chiang Mai and headed straight to our guesthouse convieniently named the 'Safehouse court' and recommended by the travel Bible 'the Lonely Planet Guide'. We were welcomed by a miserable teenage girl (think Kevin and Perry) who really struggled to show us any rooms and had a face like thunder when we asked if we can see the rooms on the top floor!! One would think that we would find this quite upsetting, but on the contrary, Cotty and I found this hostpitality very amusing and made it our mission to be so happy and cheerful towards this girl that she would have to crack a smile during our stay....2 nights and 3 days later we checked out wearing large smiles and entusiastically asking how this girl is and if she had a good day etc.... Cotty thinks she spotted a slight curling up of the lips, I beg to differ! Still makes us chuckle thinking about her, especially as she was the owners daughter who was probably made to work there in her spare time!

In Chiang Mai, we have treated ourselves to many Thai massages, i had one by a Blind person, which was good. We've had fish pedicures, manicures.....yes we have really pampered ourselves.

I had great fun chatting with two monks, a bit sureal....
