Bowling and cookery skills...

Bowling was a laugh last night...my skills started off very well and everyone assumed i was good at it even though i confessed to the strikes being flukes...i still managed to win the first game, 2nd in the 2nd game and 3rd (out of 3) in the 3rd game...i just peaked too early on my bowling skills...was a laugh none the less.
This morning i woke up early for my cookery course and we were taken on a tour of a market- learning all about good and bad...what we should look for in various fruits etc... there was just the 3 of us so quite cosy and as we had more time we also learnt how to make green curry paste as well as banana spring rolls, vegetable spring rolls, coconut soup (quite spicy i must admit to being a tad too adventurous when adding chillies lol)...then we made a curry- i made red curry, and a stir fly- i went for chicken and cashew nuts and also as we had plenty of time he taught us how to make a noodle dish and i chose pad thai...got a free recipe book and a certificate- i am obviously a master chef now ;) ;) (also learnt how to make fire- when you stir fry and it goes up infront of you...impressive and i didn't burn the place down but the guy did say he wouldn't recommend doing it at home unless you have good house insurance (thai with good english and a sense of humour lol)
I think its going to rain here...i can hear thunder but luckily i can watch from the view of the hostel.
Very relaxing here, one of the lads here plays the guitar and is carrying one round with him travelling so is having a little play...can't say i will complain...quite talented!
Off to listen and read...just been trying to catch up on the HOYS (horse of the year show- yes i am sad checking them when i am in Thailand) results...oh well :) :)
I am off on a night trek this evening up to the guys favourite sight seeing spot up a mountain over chiang mai...i am told its a 20min slow walk but we will see...i am up for some trekking anyway...got my head torch ready- thanx in advance :) :) and mossy repellant...i am dithering over wearing trousers or shorts...decisions decisions.
