Chiang Man Derelict hall
Guarded by a ferocious cat and 3 orange Ninja. On the 10th we didn't really do a lot, just walked round checking out our new surroundings, we did try a McRice though, which werre inferior in every way to the McFantastic we had in Hong Kong.
Sunday 11th Feb: After walking around inside the moat we saw Chiang Man (An old Wat/Temple built in 1296), and then went via Songthaew (In which we met a Swedish guy that has been here 2 months) up to Doi Inthanon (it's full name is the title above, and far too long to keep typing over and over.)
At Doi Inthanon, after walking up the most amount of stairs ever devised in the name of cruelty to Farang, we saw Emerald Buddha, a White Buddha, a great view of Chiang Mai from an elevated position, a museum that keeps broken buddha's (because it's bad luck to have one in your house - so you give them to a temple) and a big gold spire thing.
Leanne had to hire some stupid Sari, and looked like a cross between some hairy-legged, earth-Momma, stoner dreadlock type and E.T. It was very funny. It is a bit annoying for me (Matt) to see
Chiang Man
The crazy Elephant spire thing that all the dogs seem to like sleeping in the shade of. Built 1296. Buddhism here as a capitalist venture though, it's like the whole non-materialstic nature of the religion has vanished.
