So i'm back in chiang mai after a week of hard labor and mind blowing experiences with the elephants. everyday was scheduled as such
7am breakfast
7:30 poop scoop.. either elephant or buffalo (and you wouldn't think it but buffalo is much much worse)
then we would have a different task which normally was planting some sort of tree or grass for future elephant consumption
we did day trips to the local school and there happened to be a murder suicide in the town the night before we left so we went to a Buddhist funeral

as for the elephants, being so close to them all the time was enough to make this trip more than worth while. i let them know that i had some education towards animals so they let me medicate an elephants eyes!!!! his big giant head so close to mine, theres nothing better in the world than being able to help these huge yet helpless animals. we watched a documentary to truly understand what goes on all over the world with elephants and its revolting, you look into their eyes knowing the horrible things that have been done to them by humans but they don't take it out on you. they take food gently from your hand with a smile. they give you elephant kisses and have nothing but love. i'm sure if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time you could get a little.. umm mucked up but no one did.

although i did hurt myself pretty badly going down rapids with no bamboo or anything to keep my afloat. the current was getting too swift and i wanted to get out of the river but i couldn't, i had tried many times when a tree that couldn't be seen from above water popped up out of no where and i was crushed by Stewart (the biggest guy at the nature park) he managed to get past it but i couldn't figure out how without getting injured. so the top half of my body was being pounded with fast flowing water and the bottom half of my body was being sucked under the tree. my ribs are bruised up pretty badly so i think i'll stay in chiang mai for a bit, get some rest then i think i'm off to the beaches of Vietnam.. i hope 😊

there are too many stories to tell now but i guess its better if i save some for home
thats all for now

love you all
