Arrived in Pattaya on Friday (15/2) after a short flight and the fastest taxi ride I have ever taken, Ayrton senna's not dead, he has just gone into hiding and is driving a taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya in record time. The Taxi ride should take about an hour and a half, we made it in an hour, ten. Mostly at speeds of 140klms with no rear suspension. The DusitThani resort is luxury, perfect for the end of the trip. We did not even leave the resort until the second night, there's simply no need. The resort offers way to much to see in 3 days, we have managed to make it as far as the pool the last two days. The swim up bar is popular with us both, along with the table service. In the evening we managed to make it to the lounge bar for the mandatory drinks and nibbles. Last night we ventured into town and sat amongst the bar flies of Pattaya and drank cheap beer. Interesting to watch the people go by, how the night life is different from the day time. Today Sunday (17/2) we again walked the streets to sample the tourist offerings, it's the same crap as everywhere else in Asia. Walked Beach Road for about 2 hours before it got to hot for us, so we hit the nearest bar, we didn't have to go far. We tried again to do the shops, but the bar again got to us and we sat for a couple more beers. By this time is back to the hotel and we both went to the hairdresser for a quick trim. Then to the lounge bar for last drinks and the last night of the holiday. The rest we will bore you with when we get home. Bye until the next trip.
