Journey over to Ko Samet took 45 mins on boat although we had to wait with the fella's untill 20 people wanted to go.... For crying out loud!!
Boarded another truck which took us to our resort Ao Phai, a small chilled out beach resort full of wodden bungalows. Made ourselves comfy but the bathroom still smells bad and looks even worse. Squat toilets ummmmm!!
Spent the last few days chilling on the beach and swimming in the lovely warm sea.
My (Frances) foot has finally gone back to something resembling its original form, although luke's not sure thats a good thing, either way!! No more chubby feet!
the island is full of things that want to eat me (frances) (i've always thought i must be tasty...), i'm covered in bites from every creature going....even on of the stinky puppies from the beach tried to get a piece of my leg......good job there arent any elephants......
Keep meeting up with Stu and Dave for drinks and realised that Stuart actually isnt Ozzie but from back home, Doh!
ONly had 1 incident with a roach who was having a midnight pee same time as i was!!
The ghekos seem to like visiting us at bedtime, but seem friendly enough!
Getting quite a tan now after lazing about and have hired motorbikes for the day to explore the island, no roads so makes for a very bumpy ride!! Frances is in her element!! I want to get a quad but they are a bit expensive plus they seem a bit out of control having seen one person drive their's off a cliff!!
Back to mainland tomo and making our way towards the cambodian border. We here that the guards like to screw you over by demanding some extra cash on top of your visa for personal profit, Cant wait!!
Some of you m ight like to know that ive been struck down with some kind of virus the last few days and been taking ibuprofen just to keep my temperature down. Even more sweaty than usual and feeling very weak and tired. Starting Malaria tabs soon tho so might help!!
Thanks loads for all the messages coming in to say hi. We really appreciate them being so far away fom home. Yes Mr Boyle i have a skin head and if you check out some of the lovely piccies you will see it in all its glory.

these tiny crabs have little holes on the beach and for some strange reason spend their day rolling balls of sand before disappearing down their holes, what a fun afternoon...

Hi you two. We don't seem to be getting the pics any more. It would be lovely to see you both and the island - it's supposed to be beautiful. Fran I'm glad that your feet are back to normal. Try to keep away from the wild life especially dogs! Glad you got a good nights sleep in a nice hotel.
Earthquake is dreadful. Luckily all our friends who have reli's there tell us that their families are safe.

Thomas, U'l be glad to know that Palace beat Coventry 4-1 away. Unfortunately MK Dons, no such skill. Another 0-0 draw? U bet.
Any way this trip sounds really ace! motorbikes and boat trips with people I've never heard of, cool. Can U try and get fran eaten by a big snake? That'd really fun??

Hiya! Sounds like you're still having the craic! Coincedentially i'm sitting next to a doctor and i showed him the pic of your foot... he reckons you need antibiotics (flucloxacillin or benzyl penicillin)if you now have a fever, even if its gone down. No idea what i'm saying am being dictated to! You're backpacking so you're prob gonna ignore that, and i don't blame you!! Say hi to the wildlife. Great pics by the way, Luke, its the 1st time i've seen you, so no idea if the new do is a drastic change. Looks good tho, nice one fran. Big love, keep it coming, major entertainment for those of us in dreary autumn Ireland. xx
