TURN RIGHT OR LEFT?
That's about the toughest decision we have to make each day - when we want to head down the beach - which way to go? It appears that we really have become 'stuck' on Koh Chang (meaning why the hell would we leave?). We've actually slowed down so much that yesterday (Christmas Day) all we did was:
Wake up
Devotional
Meditate
Eat
Massage
Read
Float in the water
Eat
Read
Walk
It was exhausting.
Actually, we're quite proud of ourselves. We don't know where yesterday went and we did next to nothing. The question is, how do we bring this experience of spaciousness back into our lives?
We keep wondering what it is that will have us move on down the road? It's so easy and nourishing to be here. It's as if things don't matter so much. When we're home, there is just so much darn 'mattering'.
ADVENTURES IN SAND ART
Yesterday simply disappeared and all we did was:
Awaken
Devotional
Mediate
Eat
Massage
Read
Float in the ocean

Walk
Sleep
It was exhausting!
Actually, we're quite proud of ourselves. We've slowed down so much.
The question is, how do we bring this spaciousness back with us into our "real" lives?
One thing we did do yesterday was take on of the all-time-great beach walks. Our journey down the beach was full of magic. We were endlessly fascinated with the marine life. The tide goes out and it seems as if there is a mile of beach and shallow water to wade through. We chased sand crabs. Picked up sand dollars and watched them slowly move down our arms. We tried to out-dig the mysterious sea creatures that create piles of dark sand (that look like big piles of poop) but to no avail. We collected beautiful shells.
We passed a bar playing techno music and after initially resisting, we gave ourselves over and started to dance...it was like dancing ON the ocean. The Thai's thoroughly enjoyed our Farang spectacle. We walked on to where a river met the ocean and waded across. We kissed. We snuck behind a palm tree. We sat and enjoyed the majesty of the view then made spontaneous designs of sand & shells. We found that you can take more of the view in, when you turn in

circles to take in the 360 degree view. The sand is white, soft and a sensual delight on our feet. On the way back, we stopped for a cocktail at "Barracuda", listened to Jack Johnson and watched the dogs chase sand crabs.
Well, perhaps it doesn't re-create as well in type as it does in our memories, but trust us...magic was everywhere.
Back to the Sand Art...
One evening a few nights ago (it all kind of blurs together...) we came across a beautiful mandala in the sand - we were commenting on it to a couple from Rotterdam (Nettie and Rob) when the creators stepped forward - Walter and Andrea - from Salzburg, Austria. We ended up sharing a lovely connection with them, having dinner, and laughing and laughing about "Steve." The next day, we worked on the Mandala together - gathering materials from the environment - seed pods, leaves, coconut almonds, coral, stones, - it was a very meditative thing to do and the end product was beautiful (actually it never got "finished" Just washed away with the next high tide). Tamra also created a beautiful Dribble Castle with wet sand and shells and other

natural adornments. Perhaps this is one of the things that happens with nothing TO DO - you start to create from what is right there around you.

OK. you guys totally dropped in. Loved your description of your day.
No Thing to do. Just open to being in the moment and what presents itself. Big decisions like left or right. When to eat. So glad to hear you are in paradise, on your honeymoon, curisin' easy and slow. Yeah..

Hey....thanks for checking the blog and chiming in Paul. We can feel you here with us in SO many ways. BTW, on the full moon we were on an amazing deck over the ocean when it rose and we toasted and gave a prayer for you.
Love you so. REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to travel to SE Asia with you some day. K?

Hey kids,
sounds like a wonderful experience. After a few days of stressing over our property, life is good. I'm all caught up and ready to act (in other words, do nothing) based on your inspiring examples. I like how you take it one moment at a time, not knowing where you're going next. LIfe in the commune is ever exciting and challenging, and Kirsten sends her love--along with my own.
Lovin every juicy moment of the description of your day. OMG it sounds so scrumptious. I hope I will be so lucky someday to experience the slice of Heaven that you are playing in now. Enjoy every last drop.....drink it all in. Love you so,
Jodi Podi
