But I always seem to be wearing the green one when the camera is out.
We left Chang Mai and made the bus trip down to Koh Chang via a night in Bangkok for our last bit of island life for a while. With Lee now having joined us on his way to living in Australia we were for a time a group of five.
The first five nights were spent at the unsuitably named Lonely Beach where there were parties to be found every night, including the entertaining Half Moon Party at Siam Huts. We stayed for a few nights in basic huts at the Treehouse then moved for a bit more luxury up the hill to Magic Garden, where they had fancy two-storey huts. Apart from the drinking not a lot went on for the first few days.
The only negative thing to occur was having my ridiculously comfortable Havaiana flip-flops stolen. Tom's flip-flops were stolen too, his replacements after his Havaiana's were already stolen back on Koh Lipe.
A trip to the Klong Plu waterfall was well worthwhile, despite the steep entry fee as it is in national park boundaries.
Swimming, jumping and diving from the rocks was the order of the day, as the saying goes "If you fall off a waterfall get straight back on".
On the last day at Lonely Beach (by which time Andrea and John had left for Cambodia) we hired mopeds to tour the island. The roads were a bit tricky in places, steep climbs and hairpin turns, but we've got a bit of experience now so it was no bother. We made it to the remote Long Beach, which required the new challenge of a stretch of riding on dirt roads. Great fun if you can stay on and we all did. At Long Beach the "Treehouse" people have set up a "New Treehouse". We were impressed with what we saw and the next day took their taxi from Lonely Beach to the new place.
We stayed for four nights. Sunbathing, reading, socialising, frisbee, swimming, eating and drinking were the only things to do. We met some great people, including Phil from Scotland who had an incredible ability to drink all day, get smashed, then get up the next day fresh as a daisy and do it all again.
We could happily have stayed for weeks, but Laos beckons and the willpower was strong enough to move on.

My friend has stayed in that very place, the Treehouse. She says did you meet Tors?
Tom's bristly bits were never his best feature. With a crater thrown in for good measure they are looking even worse. No doubt with the eventual regrowth of some hair to follow after this brave haircut none of us will need to study this feature again. Glad it's mending, however, and also that despite your various mishaps all is well.
I hope you both manage to avoid further bumps, bruises and calamities! More excellent sunsets and suchlike to be had, I see - it looks like "the life" to me. Duly jealous. Thanks for keeping us posted.
No Tors, did meet a Tore though. Close enough?
