Aangemoedigd door alle leuke reacties die ik krijg op de foto's, ga ik vrolijk door met foto's op het internet jassen!! (En omdat internet mega goedkoop is, en ik op deze manier mijn enthousiasme met iedereen kan delen!! Reist iedereen een beetje met me mee!)


Vandaag, mijn verjaardag (24 jaar, joepi), heb ik een fietstochtje door Bangkok gemaakt! Iedereen die ooit in Bangkok is geweest en nu denkt aan Kao San Road of the Royal Palace en de enorme verkeerschaos die bij dat plaatje hoort, zal verbaasd zijn: Bangkok is een super fietsstad als je weet waar je heen gaat! Onze Nederlandse gids woont al 30 jaar in Bangkok, kent de stad op zijn duimpje en laat ons de mooiste, rustigste (echt waar!) plekjes van Bangkok zien! We begonnen in Chinatown, wat iets minder rustig is (;-) zwak uitgedrukt), maar fantastisch om doorheen te fietsen! Verder zijn we meerdere keren per boot de rivier overgestoken waar een 'ander' Bangkok begint! Maar genoeg gekletst: zie de foto's!

Voor de lessen beginnen zingen deze thaise kinderen eerst het thaise volkslied, wordt de vlag gehesen en wordt er gebeden.

Today, on my birthday (24 yrs!! :-)), I did a cycling tour through Bangkok! For everyone who's ever been in Bangkok, that must sound impossible and life threatening, but it isn't! Besides the Royal Palace and Kao San Road, Bangkok has some pretty quiet and tranquil sides. Of course we also saw the hectic Chinatown: that was great fun cycling through! But enough talking: check the pics!

Hey lieve Helma, ben een dag te laat, maar nog van harte gefeliciteerd en een dubbeldikke verjaardagsknuffel. Je zet nog steeds geen lelijke foto´s op de site, zo kan ik nooit aan mezelf verkopen dat ik hier prima zit in groningen. Dan moet je me maar alle nadelen vertellen als je erug bent ;-) xxx Arjan
