So we made it!
I don't think it's really sunk in for either of us yet - particularly after 2 (what seemed like) very long flights. Especially after a long hard day at the boxing day races that we're still paying for. Jess has 'broken' her tail bone and I have 'sprained' my ankle, plus many extra burns and bruises...
We got delayed leaving Sydney for a couple of hours but our free upgrade into Premium made up for that! We ate - alot. Probably for the best, not entirely sure when I'll next have a ham sandwhich/ spagetti and meatballs/ pizza / corn fritters so had to make the most of it!
When we arrived I think we accidently walked through the whole airport, had a bit of a panicy moment when my backpack was the last bag out, but it came out so I guess thats what counts!
Our hostel is really quite funky, really well thought out with cool little touches etc (http://www.refillnow.co.th) plus it has it's own 'limo' tuktuk which we had a delightful ride in this morning. Today we went to the Chatachuk markets, the biggest market in BKK, bought a couple of trinketytravellers bracelets and saw lots of potential presents and things that we intend to go back for. Still feeling quite tired and a bit spaced out so have sort of ended our day with some Tom Yum Soup and a Daquiri.
Getting on with planning our move for tomorrow - we're off to Ko Samui, I think we both decided we need the beach for a while which I'm sure will be amazing. But, we've left things a little late.. no planes or trains so its the night bus for us. No problem! As long as we get there before New Years Eve I'm happy.
Hope everyone is enjoying some New Zealand Sunshine and brothers and sisters are all being sensible at various beaches around the country.
Lots of love,
Hayley xx
