Take Off!What a whopper!!! It even had stairs!!
Well it's been quite a full first 24 hours. really impressed with Thai Airways International, even though we did get delayed. Lynda thoroughly boring for the whole journey by the time I had stopped blubbing all she wanted to do was to watch a film and go to sleep, even had a job waking her on the approach to Bangkok airport, anyone out there want to swap places with her, just a jest!
Arrived at Hotel Baan Sukhumvit absolutely knackered, so pleased to see such a clean and welcoming place, totally recommended, no bugs and Kevin extremely helpful.
So many firsts we've experienced in the short time since we've left:
First plane with an upstairs, first time in Bangkok, first Changi beer (better than Singha) 6% so not a girly beer like Lyndas used to, first elephant wandering the streets, first ladyboys, first meal in a pineapple (yummy), first ride in a tuk tuk (how brill but still shakiiiiiiiiing), first downpour (did we bring the rain with us, hope not), first, second and third buddhas, sure theres more to come!!
Lynda here - love you all
Seeing as it's taken as all night to get this blog
out and a few beers to help us along the way, it may be a few days before we try again. We're hoping it's going to get easier with time!!
Tomorrow we've hired a taxi for the day and we're going to the floating market, the tiger temple and the bridge over the river kwai. It's really expensive at 2,500 baht compared to our 4 hour tuk tuk ride which cost us 300 baht (just under a fiver!)
We've also checked out the sex clubs (or should I say "go-go" club) and we're going to one either tomorrow or the next night - Oh my God - how brave are we!! - If you don't here from us again we've probably been sold for loads of money to sex barons!!
We're now going to try to attach photos - wish us luck, keep your messages coming, it's lovely to hear from you all xxxxxx
Tuk TukStrange man - he kept laughing at us - cant think why! Could be watching Tina folding herself into the cab!!

Sounds like you are having the best time.... We are still just as jealous as when you left....
Just wanted to keep you updated with news....
Firstly,
The weather here has been amazing, it has been 95 degrees since you left and we have all been in the garden sun-bathing. Obviously the temperatures have caught everyone out so most businesses have sent all employees home for the rest of the week because the air conditioning systems cannot cope. So we are not only having the most amazing weather but everyone is off work too!
Then just when we thought things could not go any better Jimmy found a lottery ticket in his bedroom that he bought in 2006, I told him we should look up the numbers for a laugh. WELL YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS - he only won £15,000,000.
After he gave me half (for helping) and paid off his debts (mostly to me) he had about £3.67 left. I went up the pub with my share to celebrate alone because my drinking partner (my mother-in-law) is doing a around the world trip!
As you can probably appreciate none of the above happened it’s just a very immature way of me saying how jealous I am of you both and trying to make my life sound half as exciting as yours!
The weather is terrible, we are all working extremely hard and Jimmy is not a millionaire (YET!) We are however missing you very much!
Everyone is well and we are living your experiences through this amazing Blog - keep up the good work girls - DO US PROUD…….
All my love
Ben

Just read your blog and feel so jealous! You really are going to have the time of your lives. Tina, have you stopped blubbing yet?
Been thinking about you and wondering what you are up to. Glad you arrived safely and having such a wonderful time. Please keep up with your news. Love Mrs P and Dobbey. Although, Tina, I think you may replace me very soon! Give my love to the elephants and if there's a baby elephant, tell him/her that there's a very welcome home at Sunnyside. Next stop Cambonia??
Glad to see you got there safe and sound and are having a great time.
Just a quick note to let you know the check up went well this morning, the baby's heart beat was good and strong and the Midwife said it sounded 'happy'. How she can tell that I have no idea.
Anyway have a great day at the Tiger market and floating temple!? Although I don't think your gonna see much of the bridge over the river Kwai, I saw the film and it got blown up.
Love you both loads,
Darren, Donna and bump xxx

Sounds like you're already having a BLAST! I am v.jealous having braved the torrential Manchester rain this morning on the drive into work..booh! Still, felt quite smug when you said it's raining there too haha!
Tina - I hope you've stopped blubbing now!
Lynda - Don't you get carried away in that sex club! And Elle had a 6lb baby girl 'Reia' on Friday 11th. Both are doing fine!
Good luck you you both, looking forward to following your adventures!
Love Jody x x
I know others have said it before but I cannot get over what you've managed to do in a day! While we're still coming to terms with the fact that you've actually gone you've done all those amazing 1st's, it doesn't seem possible! As you can imagine nothing has changed here - the weather is still crap and the most exciting thing thats happened was the arrival of your latest blog entry. I've had the map out with the kids showing them where you are - I'm sorry to say mia took no interest what so ever & Louis just wanted to know when he was going on his holidays too! Anyway keep doing what you're doing & stay safe! We're missing you loads, all my love Nicky xxx
