Friends...We are gathered here today to join together, in holy awesomeness, Candice and Bangkok....
Haha!
So, I've discovered that, when dealing with inebriated people, of any nationality, you must make certain allowances for jack assitude. I know that my friends have done so for me, and now, I continue that tradition.
Turns out the Brits who I previously complained about are actually really cool. One is James, one is Martin.
I spent yesterday exploring around Bangkok with James. We went to this HUGE outdoor weekend market, the name of which I can't remember. We ate uber yummy Thai noodles bowls at a sidewalk stand, both of us for less than $2. Think Pho, only slightly different. We rode the sky train, got off at random stops, walked alot, went into the hugest, shiniest, most upscale mall I've ever seen. I ate a rice burger at McDonalds. I know I know. But at least I got something that is definitely not on the menu any where in America.
We also saw this really lovely and very fragrant Buddist shrine. Apparantly the incense is meant to purify you, but with the amount of smoke we were inhaling, I can only assume that Buddhists
believe carcinogens to be spiritual cleansing agents.
We didn't get to any of the more historical areas, and I'm heading up to Laos today with James and Martin, so that will have to come later.
I should be gone from Bangkok for a week, a week and a half. I'm not really sure what the internet situation is like in Laos, but if it's available, you know I'll be posting.
I'm going to keep this short, as I've been typing all morning, but I just have to say, Bangkok is pretty awesome. It's is extremely modern, and extremely old at the same time. It's pretty clean, pretty huge, but not over crowded. There's a good vibe here, lots of green, yummy food. I love it! Probably my favorite city that I've visited so far.
Anyhow, I'm done for now.

Aww yay I'm so glad you're meeting cool, cute people and having such a blast. I sooo cannot wait to come visit. I'm already preparing myself for the crazyness I'm going to experience with you, not that crazyness is anything too out of the ordinary for us heh heh. You know, when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. Learn it, live it, love it baby. So be careful and enjoy yourself, and as always, just "take it easy". You know =P Keep on having fun kiddo, and I will be seeing you soon. I love you so much. ~~LindsAAAAy
