This will be my last blog in Taiwan. As i sit in this Taipei internet cafe, Jordan searches for places to use his AMEX. Unfortunately, it's the only card he has and is not widely accepted. Oh well, if i have to cover for him so be it.

Today is bitter sweet. I want to enjoy the shit out of my last day here but feel a bit heart broken to leave. Before coming out here, i had little interest in Taiwan or Taipei but now i don't want to leave. Maybe it's being away from work and my everyday life. Maybe it's hanging out with my bro for the first time in 6 years or maybe it's falling for another asian city. Either way, I will be back - hopefully sooner than later.

Day 6: Super hung over. Relaxation until early evening. Jordan stayed back in the room to recover as i headed out to Kuan's place in downtown Taipei. Joey, Kuan and i walked around in the rain. Joey was teaching me pick up lines or rather things to tell a girl such as "kiss me" "you're cute." Once i had them down and practiced a few times on the random strangers that passed, i had the confidence to hit up the book store. Apparently, in Taipei single girls hang out at the bookstore pretending to read. This place was a goldmine though it seemed every single girl here spoke english. I got one older woman's emial address who was visiting from Beijing. Joey informs me that any chinese in Taiwan must be rich. Rich lady to buy Brady things? Sounds good to me. The second girl i had success with was fairly reluctant to hang out with me but after some persistance, i convinced her to come eat with us. She was a bit boring and didn't drink but at least we can be facebook friends...

Side note: People don't like it when you take your shirt off and go fountain jumping.

Day 7: Taroko Gorge.

Wake up. Hit an internet cafe to email a lady. Head to train station to meet up with Joey and Kuan. 2.5 hour ride to Hualian. We hooked up with a taxi driver who drove us around the Taroko Gorge. Really awesome place full of lush green jungles and rolling hills. For whatever reason, our cabby was in a rush. He didn't like how long i was taking to get my photos. As we rode back on the train, everyone was a bit tired and mildly stressed (mostly from the AMEX situation). A word of advice, fuck traveling with an AMEX.

Day 8: Last day. I'm looking to hit a gym. It's been 2 weeks and i'm losing weight a bit too quickly. I'm also trying to go shrimping, do some day drinking and hit up a camera store before we leave in the morning. Today is a day of errands. Time to savor the rest of my day.

Peace
