When you are leaving a lovely place, you always have a lot to say about this place. So did I. I definitely had a fantastic holiday in Taiwan. This is the place that I would recommend you to come. Let me say something good about Taiwan ok?
1. First of all, I would rate
Taiwanese are generally
very friendly and welcome foreigners to their country. They are actually proud to show off their country to other people.
Everytime I ask for directions, I get very friendly respone, unlike many places I went I get
'I don't know or I don't speak English!' respones. You know where I'm talking about right? LOL.
Sometimes you don't understand the menu or the sign board, you asked, they will try their very best to explain to you. Not like the
"can't be bothered" attitude.
They actually think when a Malaysian can speak Min Nan Hua (local dialect) is something very extraordinary. LOL. We speak that language fairly common in Penang.
2. The
traffic in Taipei is fairly good. I must praise the LRT system and the bus services are very well labelled and they are usually on time. Even you are confused
with the sign/label, the cab service is superb. You see yellow cab literally every corner in Taipei. Too many of them actually! LOL. Also I must praise (for my case), the cab drivers were honest. They weren't like go round the city just to charge you higher fee because you are a foreigner! Thumbs up for that! LRT is a blessing. It is so convinient to go around Taipei with LRT. With the bus service, you can see many many more places in Taipei.
The train to Hua Lien was spot on time. And the condition was awesome. Very clean. Top train.
3. A lot of Temples . Temples are every where!!! My tour guide told us, in Taiwan we have around 6000 temples. Man, with the size of Pahang state and have 6000 temples is an achievement ok? Malaysia is 13 times bigger than Taipei but I don't think we have 6000 temples (together chinese n indian ones).
4. Too many scooters. Trust me, average a household have 2 scooters in Taipei. Watch out for the little mopads when you cross the road ok?
5. Food in Taipei is awesome! I've been blessed to brought
up in Penang when the food is by far the best (that's what I thought until I went to Taiwan). The same item, compare here n there, some of them actually tasted better than the Penang ones. And Taiwan have far more variety of food compare to Malaysia's Chinese Food. Please try as many food as you can in Taiwan.... 95% of them tasted nice! But watch out for your diet! Remember not too eat too much.
6. Taipei is generally a
clean city. We don't see like rubbish everywhere although the amount of rubbish bins is fairly low. However, if you have nose allergy or something, please wear mask. The quality of the air was slightly below par but still better than many countries around the globe.
7. The young girls a.k.a the
chicks are very very slim. Probably I've live in England for too long! Hahahaha! Seriously, they really know how to keep their waist size under control. They are kind of sexy! Dear Brits, make Taiwanese your role model ok? hahaha!
8. Good tourist attractions. I say good tourist attraction is because, they are generally very beautiful and worth going. And, usually

Hello? What is this?
The PxxI word is a bad word in Malay, folks!
you can get to the place by public transport. Even some place outside Taipei, you can get the tour bus which I mentioned in one of my blog. You can book that and the bus will take you there.
For the musuems bit, they usually label the items of interest with at least two languages. One in Chinese and one in English. Some of them have Japanese too.
9. Taiwan is a fairly safe place. So far no pick-pocket cases even in a crowded place for us. You hardly see any beggers on the street as well. Don't take my words for granted. Every city in the world have crime. Please be extra careful anyway.
For the downside of Taiwan is probably because I come from Malaysia. The things in Taiwan generally more expensive than in Malaysia by about 20%. And the other negative side of Taiwan is that Taiwan won't exchange Ringgit Malaysia to NT$. So if you are Malaysian, please change ur notes to NT$ first in Malaysia before travelling.
My flight back to Penang was good. I was a bit reluctant go back that time tho. I got a bus from Taipei Main Station to C.K.S International Airport. The bus station is next to the train station. Cost me only NT$ 125.
Oh, I met Miss Teh and she said the deer's fetus was actually working on her nostrils. How true it is, I don't know. Just thought I would share it here.
Taiwan, I love you!
