The National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium was our destination for today, a two hour drive south from Kaohsiung. We had come to Kenting's world class facility to scope out the aquarium and to check on the arrangments for the school trip we have planned for March.
As we discuss sleeping mats and breakfast options with Carie (a super friendly member of staff) the Whale Shark in all his nonchalent glory glides past the glass oblivious to the awed onlookers. It is a beautiful sight and one we get to repeat in just a few weeks time.
The 28 school children and their lucky tour leaders will be unrolling their tatami mats infront of this tank and bedding down for the night very soon and I for one cannot wait!
