So we went straight to Seoul!

Impression …

They're taller than common Asians.
They are good dressers. I would feel underdressed all the time but then, I'm a 'backpacker'.
Filipino food by default is #1, Japanese used to be #2 but authentic Korean food was unexpectedly very good. It's now my #2.
Surely, I should give Japan a visit for fairness sake.
I love Gimbap, I love Bibimbap, I love Korean Barbecue, and I soooo love Hoddeok.
Where else can I find popsicles with sweet red beans filling, only in Korea!
Red means very spicy. Red means stop. Red means don’t order that.
Korea has the cutest kiddos (but then again my nephew is the cutest by default).
My hair and my skin felt smoother when I was in Korea. I'm thinking it might be because of the food, or maybe it was just me?
I've never seen people wearing suits rolling on the streets for being too drunk, just in Korea.
Men in suits go straight to drinking after work and go back to work in the same suit, drunk (disclaimer: as per Sofia).
Most signs were in Korean

The popsicle with the sweet red beans filling

... the wrapper was in Korean so I don't know what it's called,
characters.
Our conversation with the locals would usually be limited to 'yes' and 'no'.
Proper English grammar doesn’t work.
They are quite nice contrary to what we previously thought, and very polite too.
They're on the phone a lot.
They have nice phones.
Koreans take photos a lot, we took photos a lot; everybody happy.
We order food through pictures and transact with people through calculators.
Calculator is a universal language.
This country is like a baby with such chubby little cheeks that I just couldn’t resist pinching!
Korea = cuteness.
Even vandalisms written on the walls were cute.
Korea = Gadgets Haven.
Korean Culture = Fascinating.
Martin, Janet, Dell … Ono! Dos! Tres! I had the best company.
People asked if we were Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, and Taiwanese. We should put the Filipino tag around our necks next time.
By far, this is my favorite trip.

... until next time.

" Half the fun of the travel is the esthetic of lostness "
In the midst of confusion and feeling of lostness, a phenomenon which I believe they call quarter-life crises (and a gloomy heart), I refuse to stay sulking at the corner for too long ... I am going out. What started as half hearted attempts to pull myself out of this melancholic state resulted to travels characterized by disappointments, and awe for the unexpected beauty; facing the good, the bad, and the ugly reality and enthusiasm for some more. Some days I still crawl back into that loneliness, but tomorrow I’ll continue finding ways to make my smile reach my heart... full info

Those potato pancakes look exactly like the German ones. Love Korean food! You should try rice cake in spicy chili or soy sauce.

love love this blog. Remembered when I visited Seoul in 2002, didn't have any idea how fashionable Koreans were. Felt so out of place but so amazed with the people and the cuteness.

Love your Piks!
I'm in love with South Korean and I love the pictures you have posted, I have tried kimchi before I've not had the opportunity to taste other food, but every time I watch a Korean drama my mouth waters and I have no doubts that it tastes amazing!
